Very true! Sadly there are no showers at work. And I've already done my workout for the day. Now, that other thing, food! I think I'll have plenty of time for that

I am planning to make a christmas cake and pudding this year. I have never made either. I have two old recipes to follow, I need to decipher pounds to kgs and ounces to grams!

I hope to get both done this weekend. As well as painting our bedroom ... !

Yeah it sounds like a lot of work!!! The pudding has to be made 4-5 weeks ahead of time and stored to age. The cake isn't so important to age apparently. We'll see what gets done this weekend! I might take some photos if I remember

That sounds like a great idea. Apparently the "Lions" Christmas Cake that you can buy from National Australia Bank is really good. I guess I just want to make everything from scratch because I have never done it before and I want to do it properly. Next year I'll definitely be taking some shortcuts LOL!

I think I'll be getting my turkey from Lennards. A client told me this morning that they are prepared marinated and stuffed, you just have to chuck them in the oven.

Well, maybe not chuck. Place gently???

Yeah I as big on the 'from scratch' last year but after an entire days spent baking alone and then cooking a lot of christmas day I learnt!

If you do things you can do in advance that will make a HUGE difference though... my problem was a lot of the stuff had to be fresh so I was my own worst enemy!!!

Im doing Roast Pork on chrissie day and getting a Frozen turkey roll for the night before to have with salads and bread... easy!
