Parkerr815 - 2009-01-07 1:24 PM I got a Garmin Forerunner 305 last night! I can't wait to use it!

Sweet!  That one is getting really good reviews.  I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks! Thanks to the BT posts I was able to find it at Costco for only $160. I have it set up, but have been to busy at work to get outside workouts in during day light

Hopefully I can get it going this weekend.

Happy Training!

Just used my Garmin for the first time on a 4 mile run. I love it, so much info for a data geek like me!

Hey guys, sorry I have been a little MIA lately, I have had a past 6 days. Lets just say too much work, injured my foot, crashed my car, Sick family, and closed pool to boot. Non of this is major just more of a pain. Picked up a moonlighting job to pull in some extra cash but have spent a couple nights tillm id night that really messed up my schedule. Injured my foot playing volleyball, nothing serious and should be running this week but still a pain. Slid on the icy road into someone on friday and banged up my cars. Nothing major but I will have to have the hood, grill and bumper replaced. Nothing but plastic in these cars these days. Again nothing too major but just a pain to have to go through it. Good thing for insurance.

Anyway enough with the feeling sorry for myself crap. time to get down to business.

So you like the garmin eh. I was going to buy one last year but I decided i had invested too much in the polar setup i have but I think I might still go down the garmin route. I love the toys too. but who doesn't.

Hello All!

Sorry I was MIA as well, I was in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles for a Winter Varsity Swim team training trip! We swam twice a day for about 4 hours each workout and over the 9 days we swam 54 miles...needless to say, this is a recovery week for me. I don't think I've ever been this sore! Dry land training was painful too!

How have your workouts been going? What is everyone's favorite leg of the tri from best to worst? Mine is swim, run, bike.

Sarah

Wow!  What an awesome opportunity, Sarah!

Training has been going well so far.  I guess my favorite part of tri training is the run, then bike, then swim.  Swimming is my weakest area... I'm terrible at it.  Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!

If you have a chance, try to add your daily workouts to your BT training log to help motivate us on our workouts.  It seems that several from our group have been using the comments on our workouts to communicate more-so than this forum.

 Have a great week!

Will do! I'm holding a swim clinic for my triathlon team. I will be putting together a packet with images, captions, and exercises. This clinic is entitled "intro to swimming biomechanics and dryland training". If anyone is interested in receiving a packet, PM me and I will email it to you personally once it's complete!

Hey everyone, sorry for my absence. I was traveling for work last week and it was just a giant cluster to say the least! Now I'm back and training is about to ramp up big time. I'm assuming everyone as already registered for you upcoming event? If not, get in there and pull the trigger!! That'll make you more motivated to train and provide you with a solid goal to shoot for.
