Doubled up today with a swim and a run after work.  Both felt great.  All that rest last week must've paid off

Felt great to sleep in!!!   Wound up going mtn biking with a friend tonight before it got dark.  Won't do much for the challenge, but was a great workout.  I think I pushed the bloody bike up & down more hills than I rode.  I am NOT a mtn biker.  Back to the plan tomorrow.

Sounds fun!  I wish we had some decent places to mountain bike around here.  It is definitely something I'd get into.

That sounds fun!

I'm heading to watch Iowa's home opener tomorrow and on Monday I am going to ride my first century.  Both should be fun

Morning Nads!  I hope everyone is ready for a fun-filled weekend, with lots of training added in.  I'm heading to the beach in a little bit, but I got a run in this morning.  Have a great day, and Go Nads!

Morning everybody.  Got a run in this morning and will swim later today.  Anyone able to help with our spreadsheet?  I added my goals and am updating but I don't know how to use google.docs to calculate % of total.  Tried using old fashion excel, but  didn't work.

Kim, I just went in and copied the formulas into your row, so you should be good to go.  Have a great swim later -- I plan to just float in the gulf myself.

Wow, quiet weekend around here.  I hope everyone is spending lots of quality time with family and friends.  So far mine isn't turning out that great -- I couldn't bike yesterday because of my stomach's reaction to my run, I got to the beach and the sky opened up, and then last night my football team (Va Tech) lost.  But today is going to be better -- I'm starting out with a long run and I plan another pass at the beach.  And the bonus is that I have tomorrow to get my bike in, plus another beach day!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Cheri, thanks for the help with the spreadsheet!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.  I brought a new bike home yesterday.  Currently have a roadie with tri-bars and mtn bike.  I'm a looong way from needing a tri-bike, but live in a town where most of my weekend errands are within a 2 mile radius.  Grocery, pharmacy, LBS, LRS, bank etc are close enough to bike to but the clipless shoes are a pain.  Soooo, the new Electra....rode in today to buy new running shoes and pick up lunch.  Nice.

Tried posting a pic, with no luck.  She's blue and has a wicker basket & bell.  I felt like Mary Poppins riding her today.

The weekend has been a good one for me so far, despite my football team giving me a heart attack on Saturday.  Training-wise I got in a decent run yesterday and then biked my first century today!

Evening Nads.  Hope everyone had a nice weekend.  I was doing great until today. I woke up this morning with a good bit of knee pain, but decided to do the bike portion of the annual "birthday brick" with friends. Have a history of patella-femoral syndrome but it has always been precipitated by running hills.  Stupid bad decision.  Knee blew up at mile 13 and I sat on the side of the road until the birthday girls were able to come back and pick me up.  Have spent the afternoon icing.  Not going to adjust goals or drop out just yet, until I see how I'm doing the next few days. Last time this happened, I did a half mary six weeks post. Still stinks.
