Good morning teamies!  I have my bike on the back of my car, and hope for a ride this afternoon after work.  Please keep your fingers crossed for me that the thunderstorms stay off the coast.

Do your bikes have names?

Yes and no. I am terrible with names in general. I can't remember them and even when I do I rarely call someone by their name.
Personality quirk #345.

Hi all! I Nancy, I have been on BT since 2006, I love to race so I can stay healthy and in shape! I have done a lot of these challenges but this is the first for me this year! I have been too busy raising twin boys one with a disability and need to get the training time in. I love this challenge and since I have a two day bike trek coming in august I need to make sure I get on my bike.  I have had a sacrum injury giving me some hip issues that a I am currently in PT for. So I didn't put a high mileage to make sure I could complete my goal.  Nice to meet you all!

Oh, I ride a specialized multisport, it is an OK bike...Dream of my new one someday...

Riding with a sacrum injury sounds painful. I bet you are glad you don't have to ride on cobblestones like our professional counterparts are doing today!

Yeah that would be uncomfortable for anyone!  Injury is old; after my fall the initial pain went away then started back to training and I guess it healed with scar tissue and that is what is causing the issues...

Got to work today hopefully get to watch some tomorrow! Go Team!

Wish I could do the roster thing, I suck at it, and no time....It would be nice to have!

I did not get my ride done yesterday.  Our dogs decided to run off during my only time to ride.  Damn dogs!  My next chance to ride is tomorrow and it may have to be on the trainer.

Hi Team!

Sorry I've been MIA.  I was in New York since last Thurs for the holiday weekend.  But now I'm back and ready to get my ride on!  I'll catch up with the team thread later on when I have time!

Crossed fingers didn't work -- it poured all afternoon.  So I went to the gym and rode the bike.  Boring!  But at least I got stage 1 in.

Of course when I came out of the gym it was nice out...

Another stage down.  Can you believe almost 20% of the month is gone already?

Good morning everyone!  No time for a ride today, but I got a run in this morning.  Too bad this isn't a running challenge!

Next "stage" for me should be after work tomorrow.  How is everyone else doing?

Another stage done here. 10 stages and 342 miles left to go!

According to the team spreadsheet we have less than 9% of our team goal completed but the tour is almost 25% over. Is that right?

The tour spans 23 days.  The challenge ends on the last day 7/25.  There are 20 stages, the prologue and 2 rest days.  In terms of riding they are 25% done.  We have 18 days left (not counting today) or about 78% left.  We also have some riders who haven't logged yet and a few with goals that are quite doable even if they don't get started until next week.  I know we will get it done....it's the Garmin team way!!

True, it is the Garmin Team way.
We don't need our top riders cause all our riders are talented...just ask Ryder who almost won the same stage that Lance lost time on.

Another stage done today.  This one brought me up to speed with the quickly accelerating % of month done figure.

I have my bike on the back of the car, and the weather looks a lot more cooperative today.  Hopefully I will actually get on the road and not in the gym this afternoon.
