Yo Birds!

Just want to wish you all a fantastic weekend. Hope everyone gets a lot of high quality training in. Here are my updated stats:

Swim - 2700/2500 - 108% (it's been hot, swimming has been awesome)
Bike - 104/200 - 52% (long ride for tomorrow, two this week will put a huge dent in this)
Run - 26/40 - 65%

So, not too shabby. I WILL reach my goals, there is no question about it!

Just put on a monster 4 days on the bike, so I should be able to meet my goals for both the bike and run/walk.

Bad news- There have been a couple of big swells, so I`ve been surfing untill my arms felt like they were going to fall off. I can`t risk hurting my shoulder again, but I really want to be a contributing member of the team! Big waves (4meters) again tomorrow, so I have to surf!

If only I could count each hour of surfing for 500 meters it would be easy! I paddle at least twice that distance per hour on a solid day!

Go T-BIRDS!

Weekend complete, finished bike goal on Saturday and got swim done this morning. I am at 44.2 of 54 miles on the run, thanks to a way too hot 4 miles this morning. I want to be done with challenge before my races next weekend, so I got some running to do.

okay, here are my totals for this month so far:

July Challenge (as of 7/24):
::: S 6000 yards (5708 95%)
::: B 120 miles (156.3 130%)
::: R 30 miles (34.6 115%)

now, i have a confession to make. i actually posted twice when we said our original goals. since i was worried about overtraining (something i was guilty of before my last 1/2 marathon...doing a 10+ mile run the weekend before), i scaled back my goals so as not to push too hard between races. so, since i'm actually over 100% overall, should i revert to my first set of goals (7000/150/50? or stick with my revised goals(6000/120/30)? either way, i'll be at or above 100% by the end of the month.

Here are my stats as of 7/24

Swim:
Goal...14500 yards
actual...11255 yards

Bike:
Goal...240 miles
actual...145 miles

Run:
Goal...120 miles
actual...89.5 miles

I did my first tri (a sprint) on 7/17 and I'm doing my first Olympic distance this Sunday 7/31.
I should have factored some mini tapers into my goals! I hope I don't let my team down!

Have a great week teammates!

Hey team!

Sorry I'm a little late on the updates this week. If everyone could post your actuals for this month (if you haven't already) I will get those to Renee tomorrow.

I had a great weekend, went and saw the Boulder Peak Tri this morning, and got in a good ride this afternoon. That brings my totals to:

Swim - 2750/2500 - 110%
Bike - 144/200 - 72%
Run - 29/40 - 72%

So I just need to catch up on bike and run and I'm set! Hope everyone had a great weekend, keep up the hard work!

To this time-

Swim- 11000 of 25000 (Alot of surfing has held me back, the waves should drop off by thursday, so I may get a couple swims in to boost this. It is unlikely that I will make this goal, but a mans gotta surf!)
Bike- 317 of 400Km - Great month for me so far.
Walking- 370 of 600 minutes. Should be able to finish this as well.

So sorry to have been absent...but I have been on vacation for the last week!!! I did, however, continue my workouts, but have only been able to post them today. My numbers up to 7/24 are:
Swim: 4000 m = 66%
Bike: 60 miles = 60%
Run: 15.5 miles = 62%

Looks like I'm going to have a rough final week...

Hey team!

Thanks for all the updates, they were all on time. I sent the numbers off to Renee, I'll let everyone know when the spreadsheet is updated.

Scout, I wish I could help with the picture thingie, but I'm not really sure how I even got mine to work! Can anybody else help out?

Final week, team, push through! I'm taking my rest day on Friday, since that's my birthday. Other than that, I need to get lots of biking and running in to meet goals. Then it's time to start thinking about August goals. Keep up the hard work, guys!

Okay, I got the swim covered.  But, I have a long way to go on the bike and run.  I'm traveling all week, but taking my bike with me.  How's that for dedication?

You should ride your bike TO wherever you are going.. that should take care of those miles

good luck.. don't push yourself TOO TOO hard.

Keep up the hard work!!

Yo team! Looks like we're in second place, we can still win this! Keep up the hard training this week. I scheduled the rest of my week to get the rest of my training in to reach goals, so I'm good to go, as long as my alarm clock goes off in the mornings.

Push hard all the way to the end, Birds!

today (tuesday) i'm at 128% on the swim, 144% on the bike, and 115% on the run! woo hoo! guess i should have set my goals higher after all. since i had two races in july, and one early august, i was really worried i wouldn't meet my goals because of tapers and reverse tapers. still have an additional 10+ miles of running. probably 1000 or so at the pool, assuming i get there again before the weekend - i was planning on going friday morning, but its my husband's bday, so we might sleep in. and because its my husband's bday, we will probably be going for a long ride on friday afternoon and/or saturday.

Did a brick today, worked pretty hard on the bike but run is so friggen hot. Down to 1.8 miles left on the run. I am probably scrapping my speed work tomorrow as today was pretty fast, but I will do 2 tomorrow and that will put me over the top. The all 3 sports format was so much better than the single sport for my overall training. Lets go team, lets catch those yenglings!!!!
