Subject: RE: Thai massage in UAE..Celeb_ithil - 2006-02-24 10:37 AM I had a Thai massage in Bangkok - fully dressed, mind you. You sure you went to the right kind of massage parlore? Thai massage involves lots of stretching and pulling, and the therapist may stablize your shoulder with her feet when pulling on your arm. I didn't like it very much. Prefer the "sprots massage" here. Cavu is right. Many massage place in Asian countries offer extra services. When I told me buddies in Hong Kong that I have regular massage sessions, they gave me queer looks. Gotta be very careful. Sometimes it's just not safe. I'm with Celeb Ithil--I like massage, and when I'm in various other countries, I get as many as I can, b/c I can afford it there. Non-sexual Thai massage is quite strenuous. I've had massages in several S/SE Asian countries. In Indonesia, I went to a massage parlor that catered primarily to Japanese and Korean businessmen. There was definitely a 'special' menu to be had, even had a separate section of the building for it (also a really good sushi restaurant/bar), but all of the women also actually knew how to massage. And they liked me b/c when I turned down the 'special' offer, I could do it in Indonesian and explain that it wasn't that I didn't think they were lovely, I just really wanted a massage only. It worked after a couple of times, word got around, and I got great, therapuetic massages. I miss that, sigh.... Can today's word be 'mellifluous"?? Please, pretty please? |
