It is a shame it has come to this. I hope it does not hurt us in the long run. (anybody want to bet that Emirates Airways next purchase of planes will be from Airbus, not Boeing?) Still, I believe the Bush administration is reaping the reward of playing the "Clash of Cultures" card for so long. They should have anticipated the controversy (add it to the long list of things they should have anticipated) and defused it by emphasizing the UAE's long friendship before news of the deal got out. Instead, the deal was brokered secretly (so much so that even the POTUS wasn't aware of it)

A question that has been overlooked in this whole affair is whether security at US ports is up to snuff, regardless of who runs them.

Don’t worry I didn’t think it was a compliment. I love the way you look down on me.... its insulting. Name calling? Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black? (Then again I'm sure you will just claim I’m stupid, or sling some other insult at me.)

It would be nice to have you step off that high horse for once.

The biggest shame of the port deal issue is that Dubai has just suspended all trade with the US. Thank all of our politicians!!!
