Yeah, I've been sort of delaying posting my goals as I wanted to see how this weekend turned out before setting my goals, as these may be slightly ambitious goals. My goals are (gulp) Swim- 30,000 yards Bike- 16 hrs 40 minutes = 1000 minutes Run- 15 hrs- 900 minutes |

Subject: RE: April Multisport Challenge - Team Northeast! I think I am going to be short about 1500 swim yards. I have my half marathon on Sunday, which will take care of the run miles. As usual, I biked much more than I had planned. if April only had 31 days, I'd be able to do it! |

Expert 938 Haddam, CT | Subject: RE: April Multisport Challenge - Team Northeast! I'm back from 3 weeks back-to-back travel. Amazing my husband still recognizes me!! 18 airports, 3 hotels, 45 restaurants, and 1 chest cold later, I've now updated my log. While work pulled 12+ hours each day, I did manage to say somewhat on track for working out. I won't make my biking and swimming goal, but if I get some serious time in this week, I might miss the mark respectably. All I can say is it is SO good to be home, sleeping in my own bed, not sweating it out at 11 PM in some gross hotel gym. It is warm and sunny today, and despite this nasty cold, I think I might have to go running tonight. |

Veteran 298 chicago | Subject: RE: April Multisport Challenge - Team Northeast! Swimming and biking I should be OK, but running.... sunday I had an odd feeling in my calf muscle. not a bad thing, but it seems to have caused some residual shin pain. I did my speed workout yesterday and it warmed up alright by 2 miles, which means (to me) that it's not a stress fracture, but I might take some time off running anyway. Don't want to tempt fate with my one and only race this season coming up June 3rd. I'm working out the offending knot in my calf (and pounding some serious calcium into my diet), so we'll see. If I don't run anymore I'll probably jump in the pool and do some deep-water running, but I don't know if I could convert that other than calling it 8 minutes = 1 mile. |

Extreme Veteran 423 Boston, MA | Subject: RE: April Multisport Challenge - Team Northeast! That sounds like what happened to my girl friend last week. Her calf just tightened up and never loosened. She has been resting it and hopefully this week she will be able to start some light running again. It's silly to push yourself to injury for this challegne. I'll shoot a PM to oceanannie and ask about having aqua-jogging cover running goals. I think a conversion of 10 minutes = 1 mile is a better and easier to deal with estimate. If anyone has any injuries that will prevent them from finishing their goals let me know. Remember, the tri season is just around the corner and killing yourself to finish off your goal may not be the wisest decision. Just try to put in as many yards/miles/minutes as you can and stay injury free. Let's Go Team Northeast! |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: April Multisport Challenge - Team Northeast! I'm not going to make my goals this month. Yesterday I figured I would just make it with all my workouts the rest of the week/month. We returned from Greece and now I'm sick and need to take some days off until I get better. My first tri in in 10 days! While in Greece some strange things occured which altered our trip a bit which reduced some of my time to train. Sorry guys.... |
