I just wanted to throw some love out there for the Tyra Durafast jammers/square cut shorts. Everyone has recommended the Speedo Endurance. I have a pair and like them OK, but I love my Tyr trunks. For me they fit much better and I just like the feel of the fabric better. My Speedos are probably going to last forever because I grab the Tyrs every time I go swimming.

As others have said, they are going to last a long time so make sure that whatever Poly trunks you buy that you like them a lot. I have been rotating between identical Tyr square cut suits for about 18 months. I have noticed that the thread has turned white while the fabric still looks new. I suspect I am nearing catastrophic seam failure and have been paying extra special attention to this......

Speedo Edurance jammers.  2.5 years in mine and they look and fit like the day I got them.

you could get our Jammys a try; they're particularly solid, long lasting and they stretch very little.

we have a number of very loyal customers who swear by them.

best,

You need to avoid jammers that are made with spandex or lycra.  That's what stretches and makes them see through.

100% polyester or 50/50 Polyester/PBT is what you want.

These are the ones I use.  Stronger, sturdier.  You can tell the better quality right away.

I pciked up on an item someone posted here a few months ago on this topic that has worked out great for me.  Gold's Gym Neoprene Compression Shorts.  I bought mine at Walmart for $10.  I have been wearing them for months now and they look as good as new.  I do rinse them very well after each swim.  Being of wetsuit material they work great in the pool.  They do run a tad on the small side so you may need to jump up a size when you get them.
