They're stealing my idea! A couple got married at the end of the Gasparilla Marathon in Feb and the bridal party ran the race as well. It was cute.

I was married in an October after a long season of training.  No tan lines!  How?  Sleeves!  Hats! sun glasses!  SPF 70.

I got all the suggestions for tanning and air brushing etc.  Complete with suggestions for wearing a tri suit and vail or training IN the wedding dress.  I did a race 2 weeks before the wedding.

In the end I kept my skin healthy all season by covering up.

check out the photos in my album.

You obviously don't live in the South. I could never do that!

I lived in Denver at the time - its a dry heat.  But I have no problem wearing sleeves in heat.  Whenever I worked in the tropics (ie africa and the amazon - I am a geologist) I wore pants and sleeves and hats.  Covering your skin helps with hydration issues, and deflecting the sun keeps you cooler than letting it hit your skin.  Also, with new high tech fabrics, they don't stay wet when you sweat.

Do you have your dress picked out? If not, pick one that covers your shoulders/tan lines. If they're strapless now, they'll be full sleeve next season.

Good luck on your big day.
