Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Towergate Originally posted by Hook'em Yeah, most of the time I see a Trump tweet, I think "there goes that mastermind, again." LOL I have to admit I don't know how much of his tweets are calculated and how many are unchecked random impulses. He was asked about his acct recently and he said he was not going to stop tweeting because he would not be where he is today if not for his Twitter acct. He learned something 2 weeks ago about being spied upon and he tweeted it and it has been front page news for 2 weeks. Was this intentional? I have no idea. But Shirley he know it was going to be explosive. The question remains, what did he see/hear that prompted him to make the allegations? If he did that based on news reports than he is reckless.....and kinda of dumb too given the resources he has at his disposal to find out what actually happened. My guess is someone told him...a sympathetic spook who knew about it told him that he had been surveilled. It's all speculation. Best speculations I've read is this: http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2017/03/16/did_obama_spy_... |

Personally, I believe he got mad at a news report and tweeted without thinking things through or checking with his advisors. I don't think the DoJ will have any evidence on Monday. But we shall see soon enough. On a related note, English newspapers are reporting that the US issued a "groveling apology" over this stupidity, while the White House in turn denies that they apologized for anything. LMAO! Got to agree with Tony on one thing, Trump has made politics more entertaining. |

The left will claim there was no 'wire tap'. The right will claim 'wire tap' is 1960s technology and simply means spying or surveillance. |

Veteran 1019 St. Louis | Subject: RE: Towergate So now that the FBI, NSA, and DoJ have all stated that there's no evidence of any surveillance (wire tapping or otherwise) on Trump, I'd say it's time for POTUS to finally provide us with whatever evidence he has. Cause if he doesn't, it really starts to look like he just over-reacted to a gossipy Fox News story. Time to finish that game of 4D chess he's playing. LMAO |

He needs to talk to his PR people.......maybe they will tell him he is squandering political capitol on BS. What was he expecting to accomplish with the tweets anyway? The election is over, Obama is history.....even if it were true, what was the point of making it public? Before sending off a 'dear dirty bstart email', me wife and I will usually run the email by each other. The first question we ask is "what do I intend to accomplish with this email?" I think if Trump will himself "what do I want to accomplish by sending these tweets out" he would tweet a lot less! |

I tend to agree as well. My 4D chess thoughts are based on how his outrageous things tend to almost always turn out to be true. It could be as simple as him overreacting to a news article, but that seems far too simplistic based on his history. Time will tell for sure.

Pro 9391 Omaha, NE | Subject: RE: Towergate Love that GIF. LB's probably got some stories in that area. Anyways, one thing that often bugs me is how these various agencies answer the question. They seem to always be specific denials versus sweeping denials. Meaning, we have no evidence that Trump tower was wire tapped by Obama. OK, well was he surveiled, and was it by somebody else? Those questions never seem to get asked. Trumps tweets not only fly over the medias' heads, but they fly over the establishment governments' heads as well (good and bad). We know that our government is doing a LOT of illegal crap and has been for decades. There are a lot of people in our government who really don't want trump kicking over rocks. I'm not saying Trump is telling the truth or not because I don't know, but my jury is still out. |

Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: RE: Towergate So the Trump campaign has been under investigation for ties to the Russians since last July.....hmmmm.....yet we are led to believe that they did not surveil Trump? If not Trump himself then certainly Mike Flynn et al. Congress did not ask the right questions. They asked if they could confirm Trump's tweet about wire taps. They said they could not. What they should have asked is, "Was there ANY surveillance of Trump or his associates by the FBI or NSA during the campaign." And this, "Doe the FBI or NSA have any transcripts of phone conversations with Trump?" People focus on the words 'wire tap'...but most communications these days do not even use wires! Trump is obviously old school. My guess is he read a classified transcript of a private phone conversation he had with Mike Flynn during the campaign and make the leap to 'wire tap' as the only words he knew to describe that they had a transcript of his phone conversations. Maybe he was on a land line and Flynn was on a cell? But the NSA, who we know routinely collects all telephone conversations, would simply need to request the transcripts of Mike Flynn's telephone calls. And they has some probably cause to get the FISA warrant for the transcript. Obviously there were calls to/from Trump Tower and just so happens a number of calls to/from Trump. So that is my theory today....based on what is known. I may be totally wrong....but I don't think so. I'm gonna start driving to/from work a different route so I don't end up dead.....visions of The Pelican Brief running thru my head. :-) |

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/22/politics/us-officials-info-suggests-trump-associates-may-have-coordinated-with-russians/index.html?adkey=bn You do realize that every single accusation of "communication" has been framed with "may have" "no evidence" "inside sources" etc. All the while every single intelligence agency has confirmed that there is no evidence of any kind. The most humorous thing to me is that the "Russians" is the equivalency of the birther movement. It's pretty funny. |
