Correction, weather isn't climate unless the weather is hot.  Then it's always climate because it helps the narrative. ;-)

You know, Tony has a damn good point there.  How come I always have to hear about "climate change" when it's hot, or we have an extra hurricane one year, or a rash of tornadoes in the Midwest.......how come THAT weather is always because of climate change?  I still don't care.....but that's a curious thing about the whole debate, huh?

BTW - here's pic of a Thresher shark that washed up on Cape Cod bay......one of two.  They apparently died from "cold shock".  I guess we can add it to the pictures of polar bears dying because of melting ice from the heat. 

Now I just need someone to tell me that this is all unprecedented and has never happened in the history of the Planet and my day will be complete......because I try not to let a day go by without laughing so hard that I almost fall out of my chair.

So because of Global Warming....er....Climate Change.....I mean disruption, the giant ice wall will melt and all the water will drain out?  Is there any way for the government to keep this from happening?

That's fun stuff.  Good thing you got to go before the giant ice wall melts and drains the oceans.

I went through a scuba class and got certified when I was 15 or 16, but never went after.  I did do some snorkeling in a few exotic places, but that was about it.

Since we bought the quarry lake this year my wife and I found a local club that's willing to teach us and certify us this next year for free because we'll let them use our lake for classes for the summer.  It's very clear and about 50' deep so we're really excited to see what's down there.
I'm already shopping around for some interesting things to dump in the lake for habitat and scuba fun.  I figure a handful of old planes and maybe some cars and such will be fun for scuba and great for the fish.

Yep, for sure on cleaning anything up.  One cool thing is I don't have to spend a bunch of money getting them in there. I can just drag whatever out on the ice in the winter and let it sink in the spring.  hah
We have a lot of trees, so I was planning on bundling some up and sinking them with blocks.  I haven't quite figured out my habitat strategy though so I figure I'll do the building next winter.

My wife and I still have to pinch ourselves on our find.  It hasn't quite sunk in yet that we have our own lake.  hah

Wouldn't surprise me in the least.  We've been finding old car doors and various parts laying around the land as we continue to explore.
