Subject: RE: Summer Bike-To-Work Challenge III normally ride 24miles r/t, 12 miles each way. First ride is at 4AM, the great thing about this, is the ride home. I get to choose either a coast ride from York to Wells (Maine ) or I can head up into the hills. This can increase my ride by what ever distance I choose. I am comfortable dealing with flats and minor mechanical problems, and as I ride in the early AM, I have adaquate lighting, headlight and a red flashing "amarda" on my back, if I happened to choose a longer than normal ride. I like to ride when all else is shut down, safer. I also wear a "RoadId" ( RoadId.com )
I ride a road bike, and am 54 and have just entered my first Sprint Tri. I have run 5/10K's, but it has been a while.
I will be riding, hopefully 5 days, some will be just comute rides, others may be training, and intense.
I look fwd. to the next couple of months. |
