I thought I was cool when my parents bought a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model III computer. I was immediately uncool when my best friend Richie got a "Color Computer". I think the model was actually called "color computer" because it was the first PC with color. And he had this bizzaro thing (modem) next to it that you put the telephone receiver on top of to connect to a "bulletin board system" where people posted messages to each other. How freaky is that?

Richie and I also played Star Wars. We'd put on motorcycle helmets (the ones we didn't wear when we road dirt bikes..) and beat each other about the head and shoulders with 5-foot rake handles..making the cool "whooom, whoooom" light sabre noises all the while....
