Catching up with the posts.  Great losses everyone, especially kimmitri on 5 lbs.!

First weigh in today since Nov. 2, and I'm up 4 lbs. to 191.4.  It wasn't as bad as I thought.  Considering I didn't log my food at all for the first three weeks of November, I haven't been drinking my water, and my workouts have been sporadic, I'm happy with that!  Add in the Thanksgiving holiday, and I'm pretty glad it was only 4.  My system is all screwed up -- I'm even three weeks late for my cycle due to stress (I'm sure that's TMI).

It reminded me how I got overweight in the first place -- one little stressor can send us astray, and 4 lbs. comes on, then another pound, then another...you look up from the madness and BAM!, you can't remember how you got to that point.  I'm breaking that cycle again today!  Have a great weekend everyone!

As long as you recognize and understand the cycle you are more likely to succeed. That in itself is a great accomplishment just recognizing the pattern so KUDOS!! And I sure hope things get better for you! You are strong and on the right path keep up the good work! J

I hear you! This time of year, I know I'm going to eat cookies. If there are cookies, they are in my mouth. I just cannot help it. I also don't beat myself up about it and give myself permission to go off plan as far as that goes. I just make sure that I log everything, no matter what it is. Now, shall we talk about fudge? Gack!

Jana -- hilarious video! And congrats on the T-giving 5-miler.
And Congratulations to *everyone* for staying within the bounds of reason for the T-giving holiday week! Let's all use that as a template for the upcoming season of feasting and frolic

The news: I finally made it back to my meeting this morning after two weeks out of town on WI days. I was at 131.2, which was both good and bad news.

The good: that's down over a pound from my post-thanksgiving peak.

The bad: it was just barely more than 2 pounds over my goal weight (129)... which means I have to hit the goal weight again and then start the 6-week maintenance count to lifetime. Bummer. But I've decided that I'd like to try to do that maintenance-lifetime thing before I stop paying for & going to WW altogether.

In other news, a friend and I got 4 sessions with a trainer at our gym as a year-end, fitness-celebration gift to ourselves. She's coming up with all of these crazy, wonderful workouts -- functional, multi-muscle exercises that are really kicking my butt! It's great! Here's to the wind-up for the new year!!

good news is, I'm back on track and (really stretching for the silver lining) I'm still down three from where I started
