All of you have me ROFLMAO, glad we could bring a smile to your day. Haven't been around much since I worked today and I just got home. I did the leg shots during my late lunch break, the things we do for our BT women. and we, the women of BT thank you very much! |

Okay, Project Calendar. Looks like Dee and Cat are in. You guys--are the best. Awesome ideas. NEED YOU! I'm tossing the download 'n' print vs. preprinted version around in my head--yes, preprints would be hard to do for these holidays but not impossible. Difficulty with the download version is most folks wouldn't buy the 11"x17" glossies needed to print a calendar ... and it's hard to create a write-protected PDF. Honor system seems to work fairly well around here, though. |

Honor system seems to work fairly well around here, though. What about accessible through a secure webpage that you access through your BT account? I agree its doable for the holidays but I think that logistically to do it properly and keep it on top of our 'normal' lives it might be a bit much to print and post... I know most wouldnt by the gollies but if we go more of the day by day or week by week format then people could print on normal paper as the images would be small and hang them up for inspiration in cubicles. Include some motivating quotes and athlete bios we could literally feature over 100 athletes with people only needing to print say a week at a time. It would be like a new does of inspiration each month... Not quite traditional calendar format but it might work... smaller images main lower res requirements... and if we save it in a format that can be converted to picture Im sure some people will use it as a computer desk top too. Actually you know what would be phenomenal? A BT training diray/normal diary and calendar in this format... it would work, lots of pictures, bios, inspiration, including race dates, room for logging/planning workouts, contact details for state organisations etc.... oops now Ive just made the project MASSIVE! |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not be Named! Cat, I'm inclined to go with a week-by-week format. If we do a M/F hottie per week, that's manageable and includes 104 athletes. For ease of use, we could also run a footer across the bottom that has mini-month calendar pages (a common format in print diaries). Beth, honey, you know you can play with me anytime. |

Beth, honey, you know you can play with me anytime. sounds good... one double page per week? I think if it works well we should then look at expanding it next year to include types, training planning etc and make it into a fully printed format that can be posted... bound into a real training diary with lots of hot pics, training logging, bonus training ideas and advice between months and inspirational quotes, race calendar and all sorts of goodies, then and have them designed and ready by say November next year? Ok... first things first... I guess we need approval from the BT powers that be? Or do we need a plan first and a design so we can actually sell it in? The thing is I think in some ways it will be nice to split any proceeds between a charity AND BT.... this site offers so much for free it would be best to do anything we can to help support what it gives to use and the entire BT community... and the hard work put in by so many people...

Definitely agreed on splitting proceeds, and I think that's an important "selling" point for BT endorsement, so to speak. Ron and marma are pretty righteous dudes ... I don't think we need a design (other than permission to use the BT name and/or logo), but a well-thought-out plan is necessary. Do we charge people on the promise that they'll get a weekly delivery? Do we deliver a month at a time? How will we bill? Is this something that can be (and would R & M be willing) done through the BT store? Finally, R & M will have concerns about what's "appropriate." They get uncomfortable with too much boobage ... hotties, I think, will have to appear in something that would be legal on a tri course. Unfortunately, no string bikinis or, ummmm, fig-leaf-style race numbers. |

Unfortunately, no string bikinis or, ummmm, fig-leaf-style race numbers. I think thats fair.. this is a bout sport and lifestyle and people of all body shapes and types compete in this sport and we should reflect that. I had a further thought... we could do this year as a trial of the design, take comments, make adjustments etc then take all those ideas and put them into producing the hard copy mid nest year for 2009 which would be the way of generating profits based on pre-orders... Athlete selection would also need to be careful, and rules about all image rights must be held by the athlete... no official race photos allowed without permission of the photographer etc... wow youve got me all switched into work mode... I think a realistic business case is first up... Im not sure how many people would pay for a downloadable version versus a hard copy but if there is a commitment to it being an ongoing project then maybe year one is trial year? |

Cat, Dee, Beth (OMG ... my real name is Arsiyanti so collectively we're ABCD ... ABCD Hotties ... I love it ... okay Yanti, put down the ABCD ADD and concentrate) ... If Ron and Marma okay it (but there's a weasel way even if not), we could do this year as a FREE download trial, with a suggestion that contributions (which will go to some charity) are appreciated. A bunch of people would contribute. If it goes well, so much the more likely we could do an "official" one next year. If it is a free charity deal, we wouldn't need the BT endorsement, we just wouldn't be able to use the BT name or logo. Of course I would much prefer Ron and Marma be in on it. Again, they're good, perhaps the best, of guys. We can have an open dialogue with them about this. |

Id say contact Ron and Marma with the long term goal... (a hard copy calendar/training diary with part of the proceeds to the site and the other part to a charity chosen with their input) and see what they think... Im back at work tomorrow so if anyone doesnt mind... I could put together a quick overview and business type case that we could start with based on all of the discussions here?
