If any of you who read this are in the Dallas area, he has had all kinds of new stations and local newspapers contacting him to do a story about this race. I have been working out and logging my mileage. I know I need to get on the bike, but the weather has been awful, I am supposed to do 14 miles tomorrow, but I don't think that is going to happen. I am hoping to pick up at least 5 miles between meetings. I am going to catch up inspires now. I am so glad to be back! Welcome back Tammy! We've missed you! you are right, it has not been very nice weather for a bike ride |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Team Lively Lava aliclimb - 2008-04-08 6:19 PM I lucked out and got my run in with some sunshine this afternoon, but things are looking pretty dismal for Thursday. I'll keep an eye on the forecast and see how many miles I can put in then. In the meantime, I've got to get working on my swim goal, so I guess I better pack for the pool tomorrow. I'm kind of in the same boat as a lot of people with swimming...the hardest part is dragging my butt to the pool. Once I get there, I'll feel a lot better. So wish me luck or a kick in the butt or something because by golly I'm swimming tomorrow! LOL I know how much you love to swim too!!! you will get it done! |

But Continental in true Continental fashion never delayed my flight until it was about 2 hours after it was supposed to depart. I was the last flight out at 11:30pm. The best part was that there were five of us on the plane! The other four were a pakistani family speaking....not english, we hit terrible turbulence and I thought I am going to crash in this plane and not a single person will understand me when I confess all my sins on the way down! |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Team Lively Lava Hi guys, I've been trying to catch up on household suff so I can play on BT for a while. My daughter's dance competition went well, and I didn't fll asleep driving down there Friday night. I didn't get any workouts in while I was in Saint George, but I did get thrown in the pool in my street clothes. We had a great time, and then the hubby left again Monday morning. Of course, that conflicted with my only available time slot for that days workouts, so...I guess what I'm dying to say is I made it to the gym today!!!! It's too freaking cold outside to run or bike out here. I'm fragile, and I break easily, LOL. Hopefully, the rest of the week will go better so I can get a swim and bike session or two in. How's everyone else doing on their goals? |

As a team we are doing fantastic, everyone is really working hard - I'm about to hit the first patch of bumps in workouts - but it's also why I set my goals where I did Edited by lastcall2003 2008-04-09 7:01 AM |

When we flew back from Fiji in January, we had 10 hours of turbulance! At one point, the flight attendants went running for their seats! Not fun. The landing sucked too. A guy behind us said "that poor pilot had a bad day in the office." I was sure happy to be on the ground! Edited by owl_girl 2008-04-09 11:25 AM |

I knew my hubby would be gone alot this month, but every time I turn around he's announcing another job he has to travel to. I'm glad I lowered my goals. It's gonna take some doin' to get to them where they are now. I feel pretty pitiful for barely being able to hit 12 hours of workouts for the whoe month. I think I'm actually supposed to be training for a tri. Not sure how, but hey, the best I can do is try. No pun intended |

Dang -- this bike training sure does eat up a lot of time!! and WHAT'S WITH THIS WEATHER?!? D*@#n weathermen - promising me it was gonna get warm today --WELL, IT DIDN'T! Not as warm as they promised me anyway -- lousy rotten liars, all of 'em... Long swim for me tomorrow, brick on Friday, then a well deserved rest day (during which I will probably spend a large portion of the day spreading mulch -- some rest, huh?) |

I swam today and am at about 50% for my swim goal, I am not doing so good on the bike....0% I love my bike, just having trouble getting out on it. I hope to attend my first spin class tomorrow night with a friend of mine. Does that count for bike time? Do the bikes in class track mileage, or is it just by minutes, anyone know or does it vary by center? I am psyched for my first spin class and a little nervous that I won't be able to keep up. It is an hour class. My friend says I can stop after 45 minutes...yea right! |
