Well I just got back from the dentist....

Definatley not.. .I tense up but mainly just close my eyes and leave them too it... still flinch sometimes but its all good....

Not sure what will happen when the anaesthetic wears off.... the dentist didnt think me going for a swim was a good idea... Dee will LOVE that

Okay, just got a phone call. I'm having the bad day Dee had yesterday. My sister called and my dad is in the hospital (might even be the same one Dee's dad is in). They don't know what the problem is. They are thinking small stroke, his blood pressure is really high and they were taking him down for a MRI when she called. I'm heading up there tomorrow, it was supposed to be in the afternoon, but looks like everything will get pushed up some. If I didn't have stuff we had to get in the morning that we have to take up there, I would go tonight.

Just lost my mom a year ago, and my stepmom this summer. I'm not ready for another. Please pray for my Dad and Dee's Dad.

So sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad is very, very sick right now. We have hospice care for him right now so we take life day-by-day. He desperately wants to be at my wedding in January. He keeps wanting me to make plans for the wedding, but honestly, I don't care about a stinking wedding. One day doesn't mean much to me. I'd rather celebrate the 45 YEARS that my parents have been married. That is so much more meaningful than a single day. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

That is very haunting--my dad also has in-home care and my folks have been married 47 years. Day-by-day is cliche but such a helpful strategy ... I'm having a tough enough time right now, I can't imagine what it would be like with a wedding on the way.

I'm tearing up now, but Dee, Kendra, everyone ... thank you so much for opening up and sharing. There is so much love and support here--it's always good to remember we are NOT alone and those closest to us on BT may be going through very similar things.

May all our thoughts and blessings for one another be multiplied as we put them together ...

I am so sorry to hear this news, especially around the Christmas/holiday season. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you, your parents and families.
