Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! Hey Ghoulies! Happy Monday everyone. Nothing major on the planner today, so I'm hoping to get away with a quiet day in the office, a swim later, and maybe a SHORT bike ride if I can swing it. Now it's time to try and catch up with you guys... |

Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie March (STILL BIKING) Madness!!! ironannekidd - 2010-03-29 4:02 AM Good morning Ghoulies!!! It looks like there was lots of biking and running this weekend. WOOHOO!!! My weekend didn't go as planned, but they rarely ever do. Some extenuating circumstances kept me out of the pool on Saturday. I did get to the park yesterday for a try at a run. It is 2 miles around the park. I started off speedwalking. Once I felt warmed up a bit, it was cold and windy out, I started a slow jog. I felt ok for the most part. There were a few small declines that my knee did not appreciate, so I walked those. For the most part I felt ok though. I only did 1 lap because I was not dressed for the weather at all. I didn't realize it was so windy out. Tonight will be a spin on the bike and tomorrow I'm going back to the park for at least 2 laps. I started a new blog, too. When I get home tonight and look up the link to it I'll add it in here. I fell like I've just been phoning in my workouts lately so I thought putting a blog out there that more people could see might help make me more accountable. Have a great day Ghoulies! Glad the run went relatively well Ann. I'll look forward to checking out your blog when I see the link! |

I'm not a salesman, I have problems saying all the work I've done and such. I need to finish these so I can apply though. Have fun with that. If you do get a government job, get used to learning to highlight your "KSAs" at least annually. Your boss will be respoinsible for your performance review, but there's a VERY good chance you'll be the one writing it. Thanks for the flashback by the way. My first boss from my last ship was the kinda guy who would read one chapter of a management or leadership book and use that subject matter repeatedly for months, regardless of whether it fit in context. "KSAs" was apparently one of his favorite chapters. Edited by iowagander 2010-03-29 12:12 PM |

When I do an IM someday I'll have a solar hookup to my Garmin to charge the battery while I'm on the bike so it lasts the whole time. |

That's actually a very good idea on the solar back-up for your GPS during an IM. It would really suck to lose power a few miles before the end of the race! |
