Well kids,

I'm going to call it a night - I have lots of swimming to do tomorrow!

ttyl

MWAH!

Happy swimming! Night Beth!!! MWAH!

Her swim plan for tomorrow takes her well beyond my yardage.

So... what cha gonna do?

Well, my pool does seem to have an abundance of cockroaches. Maybe I should send some to HER pool. Bet that would cut down on her yardage.

Eeew that would put me off the pool indefinatley...

Well, it WAS rather disconcerting to watch them. Especially the one that wanted to get in the pool! It just kind of hovered near the side. It'd crawl down, extend a leg.... pull back the leg.... Every time I did a lap, I'd take a long breath so that I could look in that direction, to make sure it was still on the deck and not in the pool!

Ugh Im impressed you could keep swimming... impressive!

I wonder if those things can swim. Wanna bet they can? Ewww!

True. Eww.

OK, here's a quote:

Yep, looks like the American ones can swim too. At least, according to the web pages I've been reading.

Makes me look forward to my next swim!

I think these originally came from Europe.

We also have Palmetto Bugs, which resemble BIG cockroaches. Plus, they can fly.

The Palmetto Bugs don't gross me out as much as cockroaches though....

When I was in the Caribbean, I woke up one night because I thought I heard a noise.... A big cockroach was on MY PILLOW. I yelled. My roommate freaked. The stupid thing started ZOOMING around the room. We tried to hit it with a shoe, which just made it fly more....

Fun times were had by all....

Hi Yanti!

The Palmettos fly, but I've never heard of one trying to bite anyone. (Fortunately!)

I'm fine with spiders. They eat insects.

When I find them inside, I try to move them outside and into a nice plant.

Ick - I wonder what kind we have here...

"The Australian cockroach (Periplaneta australasiae) is a large species of cockroach, winged, and growing to a length of 3.0cm - 3.5cm (approx 1 1/4"-1 3/8"). It is brown in colour. It is very similar in appearance to the American cockroach and may be mistaken for it easily."

I like Daddy Long Legs but there are so many poisonous things in Aussie that I dont know beyond that which ones are ok...

But I wont kill them either so generally I just freeze up and panic... thats when a man comes in handy...

But the worst are Huntsman because they are harmless but just look so scary to me! And after we found one inside in my old place I just creep out!

I wouldnt have slept well after that... Im the same with spiders...

I'm fine with spiders. They eat insects. When I find them inside, I try to move them outside and into a nice plant.

Yeah, actually there ARE a lot of poisonous things in that part of the world!

We have much fewer venomous creatures!

Hi Cat! Hi Dee!

Yeah. Cockroaches. Yuck. I would eat any bug (if I had to) but a roach. I mean, that's just disgusting.

They deep fry them first....

Oh yum! (Fried or not.... I am NOT going to eat a cockroach!)

Yeah. I'd have to be pretty fried to eat a roach. Oh wait, you mean, the roach.
