Everyone can rest assured I am going to achieve my goals despite my little set back. I worked again last night and tried to go swim. That is going to be the hardest part of my goal to finish. Well actually core training is but that was the fourth goal so I might change it to legs or something. I was only able to do kick drills. If I get the least bit out of breath it hurts so that sucks. I took my bike for a painful 10 mile ride this morning. I had to come right back and get on my MTB so I could sit up more and not put so much pressure on my chest muscles. I never knew T.I.T.S. could be so painful, yet still so enjoyable. And 1000 meters of kick drills has succesfully killed my legs not to mention it took forever.

I'm having trouble getting up adn riding the 25 miles into work (I'm lazy, sleep in, and take the bus).. If I don't do this ride I will never see any T.I.T.S. There it is public...now I will be embarrased to report that I didn't ride in again tomorrow. I'm accountable now. If it would help, you could compromise and bike half and bus the other half-or bus in and ride home. That way you wouldn't arrive to work all sweaty. Then you could build up to more biking/less busing. |

I was very sore from various home improvement projects. And very bruised(just about everywhere)from working in the attic(it is ridiculously hard to get around in). Alright, I'm done whining. I had planned on going to my parents for a bike ride today so I left my bike there last night. It turns out that the gal I work for is desperate for help this evening (in addition to my normally scheduled mornings and afternoons). Once again my plans go out the window. oops, I guess I started whining again. I'm up to 13.5% of my running goal (the month is 17% over), but I'm right on track. The remnants of Hurricane Hanna will be hitting Jersey tomorrow so looks like I'll be doing my longer run on Sunday instead. Have a good day, melons...

Pro 4528 Norwalk, Connecticut | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) i hurt like hell last night and this morning, from the waist down was nothing but pain, especially the left leg, taking it easy today, swim tommorrow and if it not raining too hard, T.I.T.S. then sunday i do my first TRI, a micro sprint 5 mins from my house. I will have my swim quota done by next week, then i have to get some biking in and play catch up on the run, after my calf heals.

Master 2339 somewhere over the rainbow | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) woke up horny, got some t.i.t.s good one!! that made me smile! dh working overtime, so no training for me today. he left before 5 this morning, and he won't be home till almost 11 tonight, but he said he wasn't planning on working OT tomorrow, so tomorrow i gotta get my butt out running and maybe swimming too. i dindt realize how difficult it was going to be to get my swimming in this month! the lake is DEFINATELY cooling off. yikes. oh well, i'll get out there hopefully for an hour tomorrow, and that'll be 1/3 of my goal. someone kick my sorry butt about the running though!! that's the only one i'm super worried about now. i know i can hit the bike goal. if i don't blow it i can hit the swim goal, but i just HAVEN'T been running much since i got the new bike!

I just checked the weather report and it is still pretty warm all the way up to just north of Sanity. Being this side of it the water temp in the lake shouldn't be too bad. You need to suck it up and dive in. My last lake swim was a week or two ago and the water temp was 86 degrees and warmer than that by afternoon. I will trade you some of this bath water for a nice refreshing swim anyday. I swam last night/early this morning and got in a short little bike ride. I was supposed to do a century this weekend which I was counting on for my bike goals but my ribs are not going to let that happen this soon. I am hoping to get in a few more rides later next week and then hit a century nextweekend. My race is ever looming and I am getting worried. I was already worried about the race then getting hurt on top of it has just made things worse. I want to try some Horny Melons so I talked to the lady at our Grocery Store. They don't have them but said she could probably get some for me. She did say that you can't eat just one. I guess these melons are better in pairs. Going to get some sleep before work tonight. So Melons I want some training done this weekend so we have something to show when Dee does the stats. Night Melons.

the lake here is probably around 55 degrees. it's DEEP and we're at about 1500 feet elevation, which although not THAT high, we're RIGHT at the base of the mountains, so we DO get some right chilly air. actually the last couple of days the water has been PERFECT and i've been kicking myself for not getting in it. it's my big plan for tomorrow though. i'm getting wet. maybe i'll even take some pics! |
