I've always running in either tri shorts or basketball style gym shorts. I must say the difference in gym and running shorts was an eye-opener. x2 on that... One of my first runs this past spring was a local 8k that I ran with a few friends. When I showed up in basketball shorts, my friend (who's an experienced runner) mentioned I'd probably enjoy running more in shorts designed for that activity. I didn't think much of it until I experienced some, ahem, chaffage after the run. The next day I got my first real running shorts and haven't worn the basketball shorts out running since. Yes, and running shorts are, ahem, much more liberating! no really? please do tell us more!??!?? No realllly~ |

I'm making a Mediterranean-ish salad with vinagrette dressing, chicken, and Italian sausage, and some garlic bread. Good stuff! good stuff indeed! the salad would go great with my chili and cornbread! and sounds much better then my boring lettuce/tomato/cucumber salad. That WOULD go good with chili and cornbread. mmm, cornbread... Sorry, got distracted. The salad's really easy to make. Romaine lettuce, cucumber, red onion, calametta olives, strawberries, feta cheese, and the aforementioned vinagrette. Sometimes I also add green onions, carrots, etc. The nice thing with salads is it's easy to add things and difficult to screw it up. My kind of recipe! |

With gym shorts, you have to wear some sort of brief (I prefer dri-fit material boxer-briefs). Running shorts have a built in liner that negates the need for said briefs. For cooler days I did find a pair of Asics that had a compresion-style boxer brief. I hope I made that sound as clinical as possible to deprive you of any possible enjoyment you may have derived for such a description |

Pro 4482 NJ | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #2 Morning Ghoulies! Today's run done. 5 more miles in the log. Lots of "junk" on the roads these days.....pine cones, acorns, sticks & stuff. Even with my head lamp it's a bit iffy. No choice though. If I don't run in the morning, it just doesn't happen. |
