jaxbamf73 - 2010-10-07 6:44 AM Good morning, Ghoulies!  Wife is having surgery on her foot this AM so I'm sitting in the waiting room bored to tears.
Have a great day!

Good morning! What kind of surgery is she having?

Sending good healing JU JU her way!

Thanks! She's having a large bone spur removed from the top of her foot.  This is the 1st of two since she has them on top of both feet.

OUCH!

I hope she recovers quickly

I'm just glad it's her having the surgery.  I had a neuroma removed from my foot last December that laid me up during during marathon training.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-07 5:53 AM So on my ride to work this morning I was thinking about my training schedule. I really don't have an off season this year. Once I finish the MCM there will be a short running break to recover, then I will be back at it again to be ready for Carlsbad.

Once Carlsbad is over I'll be getting ready for the Unite HM.

After Unite, I'll keep my fitness up to get ready for the Ghoulies at the MCM next year. Speaking of which... for those Ghoulies who can't or don't want to run a full marathon, they also have a 10K that day run by the Marines as well.

With having 2 school age kiddos and 3 pooches, that doesn't leave a lot of time at the end of the day. I would like to do at least 1 tri next year though.

We shall see how it all works out.

Is MCM the ghoulie race next year?

I had plantar fasciitis surgery a few years ago. I was on crutches for 7 weeks. When I did start walking I had changed my gate so dramatically it screwed up my hip on the other knee. I sympathize with anyone who has foot surgery.

So how about Halladay pitching a no-hitter in the play-offs?!?  Not a Phillies fan, but still impressive to perform at that high of a level in that intense of an environment!  Not too shabby

Sure, why not? We're going west this year, why not east the next time. After that we'll have to meet in the middle somewhere. Maybe we could run Amy's HM/M/5k then.

I AM a Phillies phan! We got home from soccer practice the bottom of the 7th inning. I tossed my kiddos in the bathtubs and was glued to the TV until the game was over.

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-07 7:38 AM Baseball - That was an awesome No-Hitter

I really wish the Twins would beat the Yankees - I was listening to our sports radio station and they were discussing all of A-Rods antics over the years and that just ruined my liking of them.  I respect Jeter/Rivera/Poseda and the rest of the good guys - but come on A-Rod grow up.

Braves - Giants : That is like asking what I like more beets or lima beans - Grew up Dodger fan and now have my hometown Rockies so I dislike both of them equally.

I am with Nekkid - Phillies but the Reds would be cool.

AL - as long as the Red Sox are out I don't care!

I am not an A-Rod fan at all! I think he is an azz.

It would be kinda cool to see a 1991 World Series rematch, Braves vs Twins, for Bobby Cox's last year.  How cool would that be?!?

A very talented azz - but yes, you are right, an azz anyways!

I will give him credit for one decent thing he did. Years ago when he and Cal Ripken Jr. were playing in the All-Star game, A-Rod was to be at shortstop, Ripken at 3rd. When they went out on the field A-Rod took 3rd base and let Ripken play at shortstop. Other than that, yes, he's an azz.

On the post challenge I think we are holding our own since there are twice as many of them as there is of us.
