kns57 - 2008-01-05 7:57 PM Sites to see in Atlanta with kids. World of Coca Cola Zoo Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts Stone Mountain Park Yellow River Game Ranch Kangaroo Conversation Center

That's what we seem to be finding on the websites.  Now, it appears that most of the hotels don't have accommodations for 3 days (Sat., Sun. leave Mon.)  We're still looking.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Did you look in DeKalb or Gwinnett County?

??????? Don't know anything about Georgia the state and Atlanta the city, and you're asking me about counties.  My head is spinning with just trying to figure out what the major highway is noted in the Atlas.  aaaaaaaaauuuuuuuggggghhhhhhh!!

Dekalb and Gwinnett are east of Atlanta. three major highways go through Atlanta. 85, 75 & 20. 285 is the loop around Atlanta. I mention DeKalb and Gwinnett because, being east of the city, Stone Mountain is also east of the city. Yellow River Game Ranch is east of the city. Kangaroo Conversation Center is north east of the city. So...a hotel in Gwinnett near 85 would be great.

Oh, yeah, I live in Gwinnett County.

I hope you know that I was joking about going nuts.  You really have been helpful.  My wife and I are trying to figure out driving-wise and if the accommodations are right there, then we wouldn't have to use more gas and put more wear-and-tear on the vehicle.  Just a lot to think about, dontchaknow!

That will be hard to do in Atlant going after kids friendly places. Stone Mountain and Yellow River Game Ranch are pretty close to each other. World of Coke, Aquarium and CNN center would be close together in town. Good luck with the plans. If you make it down here, we'll have to meet for dinner - kid friendly. LOL

When the time is getting close, we'll e-mail and get numbers - that would be really cool to meet a distant fellow BT'er and teammate!  BUT, are you REALLY sure you would want to meet my family????  Runaway, runaway!! hahahahahahahahaha

I wasn't planning on swimming but when I looked in the pool area there was amazingly no one in it!  I had originally wanted to sit in the hotub and ease my back but it called my name.

I did and I think I spent too long in it. I felt pretty dizzy getting out. I've also noticed that my new swimsuit, when I swim, my left boob pops out. Oh dear.

Yeah, I love the hot tub, and I know what you mean about the dizziness if you stay in too long.

As for the new swimsuit....!!! Guess you'll have to find a solution to that. Unless you like to flash the swimmers in the next lane, that is.
