World of Coca Cola Zoo Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts Stone Mountain Park Yellow River Game Ranch Kangaroo Conversation Center That's what we seem to be finding on the websites. Now, it appears that most of the hotels don't have accommodations for 3 days (Sat., Sun. leave Mon.) We're still looking. Thanks for the suggestions! ??????? Don't know anything about Georgia the state and Atlanta the city, and you're asking me about counties. My head is spinning with just trying to figure out what the major highway is noted in the Atlas. aaaaaaaaauuuuuuuggggghhhhhhh!! Dekalb and Gwinnett are east of Atlanta. three major highways go through Atlanta. 85, 75 & 20. 285 is the loop around Atlanta. I mention DeKalb and Gwinnett because, being east of the city, Stone Mountain is also east of the city. Yellow River Game Ranch is east of the city. Kangaroo Conversation Center is north east of the city. So...a hotel in Gwinnett near 85 would be great. Oh, yeah, I live in Gwinnett County. |

You really have been helpful. My wife and I are trying to figure out driving-wise and if the accommodations are right there, then we wouldn't have to use more gas and put more wear-and-tear on the vehicle. Just a lot to think about, dontchaknow! |

Stone Mountain and Yellow River Game Ranch are pretty close to each other. World of Coke, Aquarium and CNN center would be close together in town. Good luck with the plans. If you make it down here, we'll have to meet for dinner - kid friendly. As for the new swimsuit....!!! Guess you'll have to find a solution to that. Unless you like to flash the swimmers in the next lane, that is. |
