orange223 - 2008-05-20 7:40 PM Short ride completed today.  Missed the morning swim today, will get it later this week.  Long schwimmy tomorrow morning.

I also missed my morning swim today.  Or skipped it.  I lost my swimming motivation some time last week.  Do you guys wanna help me find it?  Post your favorite swim workout - something in the range of 2000 yds.  Bill, no butterfly allowed.  Spirit fingers, however, are completely welcome.

MS: 10x50, sprint first 1/2 lap, on 15s rest. 10x100 on 20s rest. First 25 is hard, then 75 cruise.
CD: 300 easy

No Fly?  C'mon!!!!!!

300 wu

6x50 drills (like single arm, catch up, etc)

8x100 RPE 6-7 first 75, sprint last 25

400 RPE 7

CD 200

Oh, and my swim motivation escaped me last Friday.  I needed the break.  Broke out a fresh and chlorinated good one on Monday to get right back on track.  Clearing the head is just as important as recovering the muscles.

Just thought I'd share the view from the start of my normal ride.  Had a great one today.  Over 21mph for 34 miles, relatively light wind for the Natchez Trace, low humidity, delicious pizza and cold beer afterwards.

What a beautiful place to ride Bill!

It's the Natchez Trace, and it's a nationally recognized bike route.  Smooooooothest road you can find.  Very low traffic since it's a 50mph speed limit.  And the views are spectacular if you take the time to "smell the roses."

So now you'll be wearing chlorine regularly?

this week anyway

I canceled my membership because I'm mostly only here on the weekends, so it didn't really make sense to pay for two memberships

but when I got the opportunity to be home for a week, I had to figure out a way to get in the pool (it's still a bit chilly here for OWS and I don't own a wet suit)

soooo, it worked out great

sesh - 2008-05-20 10:48 PM So what are the plans for the extended stay?

well, so far - I've werked from home a little

today I decluttered the main floor and some of the bedrooms (that was kind of tough), went to my youngest DS band concert

I'm making dinner every night

DD's sports award banquet on thursday

planning and getting ready for DD's graduation on Sat

nothing special, but at the same time very special!  does that make any sense?

oh - and I'm getting some great workouts in!

truthfully (and most, if not all parents who are or have been parents of middle school age children will agree with me)

the most you normally hope for in a middle school band concert (or strings) is that it's not too painful and that the school has had the presence of mind to keep it to a merciful length

I could not believe how great it was - for the finale they played the them from "Pirates of the Caribbean'

it was really outsanding!
