I really don't have an off season this year. Once I finish the MCM there will be a short running break to recover, then I will be back at it again to be ready for Carlsbad. Once Carlsbad is over I'll be getting ready for the Unite HM. After Unite, I'll keep my fitness up to get ready for the Ghoulies at the MCM next year. Speaking of which... for those Ghoulies who can't or don't want to run a full marathon, they also have a 10K that day run by the Marines as well. With having 2 school age kiddos and 3 pooches, that doesn't leave a lot of time at the end of the day. I would like to do at least 1 tri next year though. We shall see how it all works out. Is MCM the ghoulie race next year? Sure, why not? We're going west this year, why not east the next time. After that we'll have to meet in the middle somewhere. Maybe we could run Amy's HM/M/5k then. We are looking out for you Neal - didn't your sis move to that area? Yup they are in DC now so MCM was already on my radar for next year. BIL is running it this year. |

That would be cool. Also - do all IM have relay options? If not, do you know of any. A buddy and I are contemplating but we need a swimmer. I don't think WTC events have relay options for IM. It is supposed to be warm and sunny for the next 5 which is just perfect. We have an action packed weekend planned. Tomorrow is my final 20 miler. Tomorrow night is a party with friends and family down at the In-laws house. Complete with bonfire and hayride. Saturday morning is kiddo soccer. Then Saturday night is the party at our house with our friends, the kids have a few friends coming, too. Sunday I am doing a Warrior Dash. Then in the evening, down at the In-laws again is another party with bonfire and hayride for the church, and whoever else wants to show up. Monday the kiddos and I have off, my husband is only working half a day and then we are going to go hiking. |
