Im really prone to blisters anyway... so it might just be that combined with the heat and humidity here but my feet are happy to be free from them right now! I am assuming that you are following the recommended "acclimation" process of gradually using the orthotics, etc.? Pressure on your foot is definitely going to change, which could cause blisters if you are blister prone. And, obviously, the rest of your body is going to need to adjust to your modified posture, as well. Excellent advice Sharon (although I'm not sure why you would assume she is following directions - LOL) Hey! hmph.... ;-) just teasing a little! and you know what 'they' say, we wouldn't tease you if we didn't love you! (hoping I have enough calories left to crack open a nice bottle myself) When I grow up, I really want to be a sommelier. At present, I'm stuck being an oenophile. (Yeah, it's hard to say, but its classier than calling myself a wino.) KristenWell I'm back from my 5 mile running race, plus 2.5 miles of walking with my wife, followed by a 1 hour trainer ride. Wow, where's the sofa and the red wine? Ohh, can I be one too? I like that much better than wino - LOL |

Things are still hopping for me. Love all the doggies. I went to post a pic o0f mine and realized I didn't have any saved, went to take a pic of her to upload, and she just walked away with a snod look, what a b**ch (literally). She's 101 lbs of Akita/Lab mutt. She has very long legs and carries her weight quite well. If doggies with long legs were models... she'd be Naomi Campbell (but we call her Soleil) Though I don't think Naomi is turning grey yet, as Soleil is... I'll try to get a pic later. Well, gotta get some work done at home. Hope to MAYBE get a short run in today. I can;t believe TG is this week and it's 70 degrees outside (in Utah) !!!! yeah, it's usally a little slow on Sunday afternoon :-) wow, 70 in Utah? the weather has been really unseasonably warm in Nebraska as well |

Don't get me wrong, though, this has never stopped me in the past... but I haven't had a cat for six years. Longest ever without any feline We've had the mom's allergic talk and the we already have two dogs talk (and frankly I'm not sure how the dogs would react but I've been through the dog meet cat, cat meet dog deal several times before and always been successful) and my kids certainly don't get everything they want... but still... that idea is ruminating around in my tiny little brain. *Sigh*. I know lots of dog-related trivia. LOL D001 - 2007-11-18 3:59 PM milaminute - 2007-11-18 5:49 PM Speaking of beets.... if you feed enough of them to Rock Star, he'll be a pink poodle. (Not fried though.) (And yes, I've heard that the pink color of the beets - if eaten in sufficient quantity, can actually give a pinkish coloration to light colored dogs. I was told that the Pet Food companies used to add lots of beet juice to their dog foods, then people started complaining that their pets were turning pink. LOL) enders_shadow - 2007-11-18 5:47 PM Oooh, ick. I just ate a beet. (the taste, it burns) Kristen I like fried beets on salads... somehow, though, I must assume that the frying process decreases their nutritional value... but I could be wrong. Thank you for clarifying exactly why you knew that bit of trivia... oh my! it's a piece of the puzzle we now know at least one more thing about Dee! |
