Ragnar Relay for me and my wife in 2 weeks.  10 year anniversary and we are doing a 200 mile relay.  I created a monster!  I have a 6, 8, and 10 miler, 2 of which are at night.   I do recommend the relays though.  They are a blast for a group of friends and a great challenge.  It is tough to stay up 30 hours and hit that last run hard.

Chet - Have fun at Ragnar, my cousin ran the Miami to Key West relay and loved it.  That one is now on my To Do list of events.

Had a tiring last 36 hours - quarter repeats last night, 100 yd repeats in the pool this morning then a 15 mile race pace ride this afternoon.  Hopefully this is my last week to shuffle workouts.

Question for everyone - Which should I be happier about; a 1 min. 35 sec. quarter mile on my 10th and final one last night or the same 1:35 on my last of 9 100 yd sprints in the pool this morning?

Chris - I would say you should be happy that you were able to pull 1:35 100's AFTER 1:35 quarters the night before!!!  Very nice.

Well done Chris! I find swim intervals hard to do, it's hard to maintain intensity without exhausting yourself.

I'm cruising through my recovery week but have a terrible head-cold. I took a couple of days off work and we went down to the Gold Coast, stayed at the Marriot Surfers Paradise which has an amazing series of pools for the kids, one is 4m deep and has tropical fish you can snorkel with.

Had a very relaxed 60 min beach run last night and just need to do a 1200m swim to finish the training week tomorrow.

Next week I start the "competitive phase" of my tri plan which lasts 2 weeks then have my taper before the Olympic tri on 1 May!!!

Thanks.  I also have an Oly on May 1st.  It will be my first, so not really sure about what is realistic for a goal finish time.

Why was the group archived?    That's a shame.

Thanks also, Chet!   :-)
