I decided on a nap to start my day...I slept through the early morning workout.

I spent the night at my parents place so when I got up I took a quick shower, got breakfast and headed to my other home to let the plastering crew in.  It turns out that they finished the job yesterday afternoon.  As I was leaving my parents I received a call from the landscape designer I have been working with...she is just getting over bronchitis and, due to the rain, is postponing the remainder of the work until the weather clears up (probably next week).

So...I could have gone from my parents straight to the gym (less than a mile) and gotten a great workout in.  Oh well, I will have to do that later.

I am now at the Laurelhurst residence where I should be earning my keep.  I need to do a bit of housecleaning and some pruning.   I also plan to tackle a large box of misc paperwork from the last few years that needs to be shredded or filed.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-10 8:26 AM So I had the opportunity to speak to a group at our church about exercise programs and how to make them successful.

I think it went great - just waiting to hear some feedback from a friend who was in attendance.

My key points were - Make it fun
Being selfish about exercise time is acceptable
                                  Set some attainable goals
I like them.

pdbman - 2010-03-09 12:21 PM Born in Alaska. Enjoy running in the snow. My favorite time to run is late at night with big snowflakes falling gently to the ground. Don't have a problem staying warm when its snowing. Running in the rain isn't the same for me. First I get wet, which that alone isn't a problem, but then I get cold and things aren't so fun any more. Warm and wet is fun, but still prefer running in the snow. I admit it. I'm strange and I'm a wimp.

Wow, makes me actually miss the snow...can you believe it?!
Just think, next winter you will get to have some fall in your own front yard!

pdbman - 2010-03-09 1:49 PM I've considered commuting to work but I just can't talk myself into it. Its 17 miles in traffic and the last bit is on a road with no shoulder, semis, and 50 mph speed limit. I work in an industrial area with a lot of trucking companies like FedEx, UPS (where I work), DATS, plus Albertsons and other companies have distribution centers in the area. Plus with all the trucks there is a lot of crap on the road. Call me a chicken but I just can't do it.

I agree with you there.  I have a 1 mile section that is pretty rough but other than that I have no complaints.  Safety first!!

Paul, would 2700 West work for you?  I see a few guys take that quite often.
I was going to try and find my route to work next week (I changed jobs last July and still have ridden to work yet), but then the day I'd do it is the day I have an impt interview, don't want to chance getting hit and missing it.

(BTW... why is the font shrinking when I come into the "post" dialog box?)

2700 West doesn't go all the way to North Salt lake.  Everything is fine until about 2100 South. That's the part that starts getting scary for me.  The farther north the worse it gets. The last few miles on Redwood road is the worst with the trucks, etc and no shoulder. I thought about 2200 west for the last stretch.  No shoulder and less traffic, but they were working on Legacy at the time and it was pretty bad. I looked at a few different options last summer and then kind of gave up on the idea. I may have to check some things out again in the next couple of weeks.
Don't the sharks ride somewhere out by the airport?  What's the traffic like out there?

mchally - 2010-03-10 9:39 AM I decided on a nap to start my day...I slept through the early morning workout.

I started my day out the same way.  Must be something in the air this morning.  I'm going to have to do a late night run to get my workout in today.  I have meetings right after work that will go until about 10pm. Then I'll go for my run and eat dinner after.  Maybe that's why I'm not losing weight. I'm always eating way to late.

Wow!  It's quiet around here!  Is everyone napping already?

I plan on running at lunchtime.  It's beautiful and sunny this morning after the heavy rain we had last night.  It was seriously dumping buckets!

Have a great day!

I think everyone went to bed early and are still sleeping.  The beasties are hard at work though. They have almost completely wiped out our post lead!
WAKE UP EVERYONE!

I am so bad about paperwork...I am going through a large box that has receipts, bill stubs, bank statements, insurance statements etc from the last three years heaped in it.

It wouldn't be so bad if this was all of them, but I have multiple stashes like this.  I have been trying to tackle them over the last couple of months.

wgraves7582 - 2010-03-10 11:06 AM I inspired Travis because he still does not have any goals - I asked if he was still in or not and to stop by if he was.
that is a good idea

HI BILL!!!!!

Melissa - how has your day been so far?  Did you get to the gym yet?
nope, I've been working on this box of papers.  Lots of shredding and sorting.

Once I get this done I will eat lunch.  After that I need to clean the bathroom and prune the Abelia grandiflora.
