Based on Keith's comments last weekend: 3 loop run and 1 loop bike.  For the swim, I'm not sure because he seemed kind of cagey about it.  I'm wondering if it's going to be "sort of" two loops, meaning: start, do a circle back to the start, but then branch off down the canal the second time.  You locals will know better.  Is it big enough to get 2.4 miles in without doing something like that?

Thanks TJ!

Pretty close to what we were all guessing.  The Bethal and Bays Chapel sections still seem weird but guess they gotta get the miles in somehow?

Overall should be a fun course!  Nice job Keith!

On Mapmyride and Google Earth, the intersection of Fish Creek and 2854 doesnt appear to be completed. FishCreek dead ends prior to connecting to FM2854?

Concrete posts are in place, dirt has been moved and some road has been laid. Since it's gonna be an overpass, they have the big beams left to put in place and then pave that sucker. I bet it's done by Christmas.

OK, I am cpmpletely lost on route tracker.  Shoud Egypt road be Egypt lane as that turns into Conroe Huffsmith?  If so, how do you go right Honea Egypt as you would have to go left?

Just to add, according to my husband I am incredibly directionally challenged

yea, that one is kinda tricky. they did that to avoid a HUGE intersection. As 2978 bends lft there shoud be a road that sorta stays straight. that will take you east of the big intersection and into a neighborhood I think (I'll have to look) that will bend you back to Honea egypt, where you will take a right to head north onto fish creek. clear as mud right?

You have the hook up.  That's clearly a map made by Keith's team, but it's not even on the website yet!

Fish creek is to go over the rail road and fm2854.  If this is the case how will we be able to turn on the road?  Maybe I miss understood the plans from the paper when they were announced a year or so back.

You'll ride straight over and then cloverleaf (is that the right word?). So you will turn hard right coming down the bridge and then right again to get on 2854. No intersection to cross that way.

Now that I have the officiall course is up I will try and take a ton of pics/video and get them up for everyone.

I am nowhere near a strong rider and I do not have problems north of 105 and I have ridden all of them.  There are a few steady inclines, but nothing that will get you out of the saddle in the small ring.  Now if the route took us all the way to Anderson then I would say there is one hill I just meet recently that got my attention.  If we have a good south wind then when we turn of fm2819 you will be head on, which is like a nice hill to me.

I was thinking the same thing Patrick.  Glad we turn before that last stretch to Anderson!
