Hi Nibbs!

Really random question for you all... I was trying to adjust my saddle and well, whoever tightened the bolt last time *ahem* bike shop *ahem* made it WAY too tight. I've totally stripped the bolt trying to get it loosened. Now I feel like a dumbsh*t for doing so and will have to take the bike in to fix this. How in the world will they get the thing off now? Will it be a big ordeal or do idiots like me come in all the time? I made sure I was using 'righty-tighty; lefty-loosey' and looking at the thing practically standing on my head to make sure I was doing it the right way. So now what? Any thoughts?

I have done that...too...I think they have some special cuss words and a special kind of lubricant that loosens bolts! sorry my mechanic (my dh) is still at work...when he comes home, I will ask him. He had to loosen both seats on our tandem that were stuck at the lowest possible position...we were kickin ourselves in the chin trying to ride...I will get back to you.

well I hope they keep it there....we have a ton of geese around where I work....they scare the carp out of me when I walk up to the door...they come out honking and rather agressively head towards me...I never stay around to see what they want!?!? I just remember them attacking my brother once when we were fishing at a small lake...we were trying to get our fishing gear up this steep hill and I was in front (THANK GOODNESS) because all of a sudden I hear my brother let out a blood curling scream and when I look back he has three big geese attacking him and biting him on his back side! he kept trying to get up the hill...but as they bit him he would lose his footing and he would slide back down again...needless to say I was at the top LAUGING furiously and this did not make him happy! we still laugh about that one! but as far as duck (crabs) I have never heard of this! and hope I never do!!!

in fact, I'm scared of birds in general (don't tell anyone, but I won't even go in the aviary at the zoo)

Ouch! Yay for walking!

Got a bruise myself this morning. 'Clipped' in after a light, but wasn't really clipped in. Foot slipped out of the pedal, and the pedal gave me a nasty cut/bruise...I hate stoplights...

ouch!

I had something similar happen last year - really wrenched my ankle - took forever to heal!

Oh, they were ranked yesterday - right after the interviews ended. Sans discussion. I rebelled and held out for as long as I could. I even TRIED to have a discussion with the other committee members. Eventually, I had to give in. (I received a direct order from my boss: "You NEED to rank them. Do it NOW."
