We could keep this one up and just set new goals for Aug.  I know that I am game for it.

I could really use the push all around. Running just happens to be the thing I need the BIGGEST push in!

ooh good! a casual run challenge for august!! hooray!!
i just came in from running, i REALLY pushed, a lot harder than i have probably since october. and i feel pretty good.
i ran long, not particularly fast, but long, and i felt good. usually on long runs, i get sorta bored (is that weird?) but this time, it was like i turned in to a machine. i just kept going, and it actually felt really good (i mean, AFTER the first two miles it felt good)

going to get in to the wetsuit, and head to the lake for a while now. keep the momentum up? parhaps. maybe i'll just lay in the sun instead, LOL

Now the question is, should we start it as a new thread so that others can see that we are doing it and join in on the fun?

rad-i'll sign up for the august thing

i swam, but not very much. i was just freaking tired! i was swimming in 40 yard measures, and i probably did it 5 times. course i had to stop in between each one and catch my breath.

i WISH i was a better swimmer!

I feel you on this one.  Swimming is by far my weakest area.  I can go for awhile but I am slow.

I set up a spreadsheet for the August challenge. Also, I stickied the announcement thread to the top of the forum. (Info about the spreadsheet is in there, as well.)

Hm... maybe August should be a casual run/weightloss/SWIM challenge.

That's a good idea Dee. We could add a touch of swimming. As much as we each want. Brilliant.

Now about that pie!?

Hm. I wonder.... Since it's just a casual challenge, and no one needs to calculate team standings, etc....

What do you think about making August a Casual run/weightloss/swim/biking challenge?

If you want it, I can set it up on the spreadsheet....

Well you really can do it all.  I say go for it.  I doubt anybody will be upset about it.  plus then I will focus on all events and not just one, since I finally registered for my first and second triathlon.

Done! I'd wanted to run an August challenge, but work will be busy (again). The Casual challenge is perfect, because I won't have to set up teams, then track each team's progress, etc.

Thanks for getting this started!

Now, I just need to come up with my own goals. LOL

No prob, Thank you for setting up the spreadsheet.  That kept me from pulling my hair (what little the military lets me keep) out.
