I'm riding long on the SCT on Sunday, Jay, if you are interested and aren't planning to race/jockstrap in 'Nooga.

Any other time I'd ride with you but I'm racing 'Nooga.  Can't wait!

Nice!!! I've got three stages in and should be well over the hundy mile mark by next week. I'm riding long on the SCT on Sunday, Jay, if you are interested and aren't planning to race/jockstrap in 'Nooga. The rest of you are welcome, too, but you have to pay your own way to the ATL .

Guess I should've hoped that Sunday's five-hour weather delay on the ATL-SEA leg would have stretched a bit longer (although a week might be pushing it)! Darnit! Have fun on the ride, Mila.

Did my 1st stage on Saturday (31 miles), traveling on business in Toronto this week and off to Tahoe over the weekend, so this leaves me with the option to ride on Thursday night - from the plane straight to the bike or trying to figure out how to bring my bike to Tahoe. I am leaning to the second option as it will allow me to get an idea of how it feels to ride at 4500 feet elevation. Exciting!

I also have a dumb question. What do I need to tweak in my site settings to enable to have the message that I am replying to in my response?

You might be able to rent a bike in Tahoe if getting your bike there looks like a hassle.

If you're talking about a response here, within a forum, you hit the quote button instead of reply to get the message to which you are responding included in your response.  If you mean in the inspires, you need to hit the "blog" button instead of "reply"... the reply will post your response in your own inspires.

LOL... hmmmm... that could work for me, too, but then I'd probably stop for a cheeseburger (I said cheeseburger, Sal, not cheesecake) and a margarita, put down the scale and forget all about it.  I might be able to find a wrist strap for a prod or maybe a taser.  Do tasers come in pink?

OMG!  I couldn't resist, I had to find out... move over pink whips, there's a new "motivator" in town!

You've all been working hard. Why not take the day off and have a delicious burrito?

burrito

Jen, that looks good...reminds me...need to call a friend and get together with him for burritos at Chipotle...

Finished stage 1 yesterday and will get stage 2 in tonight.

I'm like you, Mila, I don't take well to not winning. It seems like we have a solid team here, so I'm not worried, especially if you have the whips in reserve -- just in case.

Yes, exactly, just in case... and if worse comes to worse I'll scrounge up a pink cattle prod or something .

That would go well with the prescription for more cowbell that's going around.

koo-roo-koo-koo-koo-koo-koo-koo!

Good day, Lamprelles!

Bit of insomnia this morning, but I decided rereading Richard III was a better use of my time at 3 am than getting my ride in (because I am still more Lit Geek than Tri Geek.)

Happy Almost Friday!

I DO appreciate it!

In fact, I am JEALOUS.

A pink taser!!!! (Although I've become attached to my little red cattle prod. So I think I'll survive.)

Here's a little pink tiara for you. It'll go well with your new taser.

Hi Team - just a quick reminder that Monday July 14th is the LAST day of week one of the challenge.

It would be great if at this time you could make sure your google spreadsheet is up to date with your achieved and GOAL stages and distance/time for the week. (there are currently a few blank spaces on some of the teams)

I will get an interim result up in the forum on Wednesday assuming that whatever is in your team spreadsheet is the results for your team.

I have updated the spreadsheets so they are all calculating goals consistently across the board and as always if you have any questions let me know.

Your team spreadsheet is here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-AXOvfXv6qNKQ&hl=en

To login to Google Docs:

Username: btchallenge

Password: challengeforum

Hope everyone has had a great first week! Dont forget to keep supporting and inspiring your team mates - make sure you all keep in touch! 2 weeks left! (and feel free to stir up the other teams a bit too)

It's very important to be sure all of your accessories, like tiaras and tasers, match.  Thanks, Dee!

Alrighty... I have rides scheduled today and tomorrow and the distances should put me at a third of the way to my goal.  Right on track!

So far I'm a little over a third of the way to meeting my goal.  I have several 1-hour rides planned for this upcoming week, so that should really up my percentage completed.
