gonnatrione - 2007-03-07 12:10 PM So, what is everyone training for? Prison Break.....sshh, don't tell anyone. It's a secret. How far out is your first/next race? I'll let you know once I get the keys to the all these damn doors. When is your "A" race? See above. Then it's over the river and through the woods to Grandmothers house I go.

So I guess it's Escape from Alcatraz for you.  Watch out for the sea lions.

Wow - Awesome- Amazing - and numerous other superlatives come to mind.

Everyone's seasons look great! Hopefully, this challenge will keep us all on a solid footing for the beginning of our various seasons.  I know that I'm motivated by the guilt motivation!

So, what is everyone training for?  This is my second season of tri-ing, but I didn’t really follow any sort of training plan last year.  I was most definitely missing out by now following a set training plan.  This year, I’m doing some sprints, an Olympic distance, and my first HIM.

How far out is your first/next race?  My first race is on April 15.

When is your "A" race?  June 2.  86 days away.

So, what is everyone training for?
I did my first triathlon last july and was hooked from the second I jumped in the water. I played soccer in college and was looking for something to keep my competitive edge being 4 years out of college. I'm also a third year medical student - so I guess you could call it stress release. Anyways, I'm looking to do about 5-6 triathlons this year.

How far out is your first/next race? First race is on May 5

When is your A race? August 26 - Douglas County tri in Kansas City, MO

Best of luck to everyone with your training - Go yellas!!

Hi yellows!

I hope that you all had a great weekend.  I wanted to let you know that I won't have the weekly numbers up until tomorrow night.  I was working on them tonight, but just figured out that I was doing it wrong (counting a day twice).  So, sorry for the delay.  I haven't forgotten, I was just a bit clumsy!

This thing you said about counting  a day twice - and what would be wrong about that?

Hi naners, my bike is not accurate

week 1 should be 104km = 65 miles and

week 2 should be 123,3km =77 miles.

You probably did not see this because I log my time on the trainer under Sports>Bike trainer, not as biking, sorry for not bringing this to your attention before.

And I am sorry to say that I think there might be a fault with bmullen´s data, according to the spreadsheet he apparently biked 42hr and ran 11.5hr last week

Ok, he could have taken a week of work to complete the challenge early, and in that case, RESPECT

Else I am on schedule, swim and run is going to be close but I should manage

Then the bike....I kind of underestimated how fare I would be able to go on the trainer, so I might even get to goal this week.

I wish I had. Unfortunately I didn't. I think my miles for the week were added as time instead of the time.

It looks like my numbers are correct.  My question is (and I think this was brought up last week) that the spreadsheet is based on 28 days to calculate pace.  Shouldn't it be based ont 32 days (All 31 in March and then add 1 for April 1st)?

Hi all,

Sorry about the mistakes on the spreadsheet!  Even though they mostly worked in our favor .  Despite that, we still appear to kicking it!  Yeah Yellow!  For what it’s worth, the newest update is attached.

PS-I’m not sure about the pace calculator.  I think that as long as we know we are going to meet our goals, we don’t need to worry about all those pesty “no’s” under (some) of our names.  I know I do my best to ignore it…maybe I shouldn’t!

HI yellow

After a 2:15 trainer ride last night I have already made my bike goal for the month

But I am completely wasted now, so I will be going away for a few day to recover, (and celebrate my moms B-day), but I will be back next week to finish of this challenges.

!! YELLOW RULES ALL !!

Maybe if you would have really challenged yourself you wouldn´t be done yet

A monthly biking goal of only 50K more than your wife´s biking goal is just simply not enough of a challenge!!! Some call that "whimp"

GO BLUE!!

Hi all,

Will you check your numbers?  I had to use an old spreadsheet, do it might be helpful if you check old numbers as well.  As it is now, it looks like a couple of people have met some of their goals.  WAY TO GO!!

Will everyone check their numbers and let me know before tomorrow night?  Thanks much.

Hia ALL

I have been slack on getting my numbers logged, but they are all uptodate now. Had an okay week, hopefully this week I can play a little bit more catch-up with my swim/run mileage. Coaching high school soccer has kind of put a dampner on running

GO YELLOW!!!!
