They do something like that here in Germany, but use beer

its a 10k race, and you have to drink 10 beers. They have spotters who watch and make sure you drink the beer. You also have to carry the beer in a bag and have the empties at the finish line. The winner gets 500 Euro!!!

Ha!  Thats great.  They have spotters...not to make sure you're ok, but make sure that you finish all your beer.  I love it!
