I thought lots of you like the bad boy?

"Girls" like the bad boy, "Women" know better.

Sure, we all KNOW what we SHOULD want/do, the problem is following through.

Any guesses why diet, finance, and relationships are some of the top selling subjects?

I guess I never had that problem in the relationship department. Never did like the drama of dating that bad boy, and I have dated one or two. I always much preferred my own company than to be with a guy that made me feel bad and insecure about myself.

I think men are lovely. I just don't have the energy. Meeting. Getting to know each other. Learning about them. Talk, Talk, Talk. Then you get all attached. Bleck.
I've decided the look but don't touch method is best. Much like weather. And Blenders. Laxatives, as a rule.

Sure, I want one. Guess I prolly need one, but unless he strolls into my living room, swims up next to me in the pool or manages to speak louder than my iPod while I run, I just don't see it happening. Until then, my tri and half marathon will be the loves of my life. (slightly pathetic, but just getting over something!)

That's a highly impractical approach to meeting men. You should try my approach: I'm waiting for one to come crashing down on me. Much more plausible than your approach.

ahhh, the "It's Raining Men" theory...be careful with that...an injury from a man-crash could set your training back!

How did I miss this thread?  First of all Jim, I like your version better.  Secondly, Renee is right...over-feminism is lame.  We need men, I do.  Thirdly, there are tons of good men. All the good ones aren't married or handicapped or gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). Lastly, Welshy, a man who doesn't care is not a man.  Trust me on this one.

You beat me to it! I just picked up the book, but haven't read it. At this point in my life, I'm pretty convinced that men aren't "necessary". Maybe fun, but definitely not necessary. If they are, I'm in big trouble! Add me to the list of happy women, without a man in her life right now.

I am much more a hands on type person

If anything, you should just advocate a look, touch, but don't talk method

I absolutely love men. They let me do my own thing, they like to eat, they like to have sex, they are low maintenance...what's not to like? I should start a thread on that. In fact, I have more guy friends than girl friends b/c the drama is less, among other things.
