Speaking of post padding bikes... I got an email from a Velo Vie rep who wants to talk to me about "displaying some bikes" in my studio.  Do you think he means "give you a bike to ride"?  Just wondering...

I think he wants to 'display' his bikes... and surely your behind on the bike would be the best method of display?

I love the way you think!  I can display my behind on this bike all over town.  Of course there is one obvious flaw...

Plus I don't think it comes with a Tiara, but that could be easily fixed.

*Sigh*... you are right it doesn't so I'd have to take one from my collection.  However, with the money I save by having the "display" bike, I could buy a new tiara just for riding it.  Needless to say it would have to be attached to my helmet...

I like that the run challenge thread is turning into bike discussion... but I had to collect myself a bit after drooling over seeing some of the custom paint designs from Trek.

Good morning team!!! I'm looking forward to a whole month of running! Shall we do some introductions? I already know a lot of you from the WCP&Ts thread, but those that don't know me, I am 29 years old tomorrow and I live in Western Australia. I'm married with no kids, only fur kids! I have a cat & a dog. My life mainly consists of trying to find a healthy work/ exercise/ rest balance, but despite my best efforts I usually end up burning the candle at both ends!!! I work long days so I do most of my training in the mornings before work, except on weekend when I can get up a little later. Currently I am trying to balance work, exercise, home renovations (currently we're repainting the whole house, then we'll be putting in new floors) and rehersals for a play I'm in that's finally going to happen next week.

Looking fwd to meeting you all!

I ran 4.6km yesterday, so I've completed 5% of this month's goal, woo hoo!

I'm starting off this challenge with a bang! It was a gloriously stormy and dark morning, so I scrapped the laundry and running plans and curled up with a book and some Kahlua in chocolate milk (which is called a Mexican something or other) and snuggled into my wonderful new furniture. I  storms very, very much. Almost as much as I  fall. October in particular. I will run tomorrow, promise.

Oh, speaking of bikes, mila did you see that bamboo bike (haven't checked the thread)? I want to know how many pennies they want - I think that's be WICKED cool, and it comes in tri geometry (but don't tell anyone that I actually want a road bike, mmm-kay?).

[Dear team members,

There is no number 6 because Mila banished them. She's a vampire vixen with a vampire bat tiara - I wouldn't cross her.

So this post doesn't actually exist, okay?]

Um, so you want to know a little about me, huh? Well, my real name is Oh! No such luck, Blake!.

I live just outside the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Fall is my favorite season. Did I mention that already? Don't worry, I will again.

I work third shift, so if anyone else is up at unreasonable hours, please post so I'm not talking to myself. I now have a reputation but I didn't get to do any Sharkie-like things to get it.

I have an interview on Friday!!!!! Please cross your vampiric teeth for me. It would mean working normal-people hours, even though I don't want to be a normal person.

When I was in college, which has one of the top ten creative writing programs in the country, a girl in my creative writing class wrote a vampiric romance short story. It was truly hideous, and not in a good vampire-hideous way. In a how-did-you-write-your-application-essay-when-you-have-no-command-of-the-English-language hideous. She never came back to class after she turned it in.

I bet you didn't care about any of that except the part about the vampiric romance, huh?
