Thanks travis for putting this thang together. Mom of 2 girls preK and K. Next summer will be my first tri season. Right now am working on running, not worried to much about the swimming (swam for HS team and in summers at cottage on the lake) REALLY worried about the bike part. Am looking into finding good used (ie cheap) bike trainer rollers or stationary. Going slow and building on the running, have knee issues. Most of my workouts will be running and band/ball workouts. Turkey week will be rough but I WILL NOT (power of positive thinking) let you all down! Dont worry about keeping up - when in doubt just read the last couple of posts and jump right in (ive been known to do it!) I have knee issues too (and feet and calf/lower leg) so i hear you on the running... will join you in the taking it slowly for the month.. right now Im mostly walking. |

Very true - and its the end of the month tomorrow so its time for a progress pic When Laura gets home from traveling. It's hard to take a pic of yourself. Plust there hasn't been any progress really made. thats fair - I see she has been sick too Yeah, only she wasn't in the comfort of her own home. |

My hubby just found an old friend of his and come to find out he is now living in aussie too. Hubby and I have toyed with the idea of moving over seas for a few years while the girls are young, and aussie land is pretty high up on the list of places that we think would be great to live. |

Grew up in northern Mich, where in the winter snow would easily get up to the waist, and winter lasted most of the year. Last couple of years have been living in Indiana which has been better, usually only get a couple inches of snow and winter only last a handfull of months, but really could go without any snow and cold. |

I'm Beth, aka lastcall2003, aka Tinkerbeth I'm a very young (at heart anyway) mother of 3 - I have 2 kids in college (sophmore and freshman) and my youngest is in 8th grade this year was my third season of tris - I've completed 4 sprints and 2 olys and participated on a team for 1 oly my background is in swimming and I didn't even own a bike when I registered for my first event I'm trying to learn to love to run, and in that area I've made a lot of progress - check out the volume YTD this year compared to last I started a new job in February, commuted between Nebraska and Pennsylvania from Feb to the end of Aug - moved the fam to PA in September - lots of changes I'm planning on a race in February (right Kristin?) - it will be the longest distance I've ever done ok, so that's way more than you wanted to know edited to exclude redundant information and bad grammar Yes! We're either doing the Manhattan half in late January, or the Bronx in early February. The moment the dates are posted we'll make a decision and plan the post-race activities! |
