Hey Team!

Just wanted to let you know I changed my 4th activity to core/upper body from weight loss...I figure I have enough stress to deal with due to my Nana dying and not being at home, so I don't want to further stress myself out by making a weight loss goal rather than a fitness goal! I am already less stressed out about it now!!

Getting ready for a 15 hr drive/ ferry ride tomorrow!

Had a really nice run tonight.  Don't you just love when you get into a running rhythm?  It makes the miles fly by and you're back at home before you know it.  Ahhhh...now I feel all refreshed and relaxed!

KrisSeer - 2009-08-04 1:26 PM Hey Team!

Sorry I've been MIA; I've worked up my goals and will get them posted today.

Unfortunately, I might already be hurt. I went for a run and half a mile in my left foot hurt excruciatingly. I had to stop and hobble back to the house. It's still extremely painful if I put any weight on the outside of my foot; if I walk on the inside, it barely hurts at all. But there's no swelling that I can see, and no bruising. Maybe (hopefully!) it'll just go away?

nice to have you as a teamate again! definitely let that foot heal up before trying anything.. no sense in making things worse by rushing!

So I got in 5.8 miles running tonight. I added some speedwork pickups and pushed hard up hills to add a little flare to the workout. Tomorrow I'm looking to get in a long bike ride and HOPEFULLY a swim session at night.. depends on how much I get done around the house during the day.

I am falling behind on runs though, so I will need to remedy that tomorrow.  Hope everyone else is getting their training in.

Another bike and run at  high elevation for me . the climbs were suffocating .

On the race program for this buckaroo is  a 3 miler XC race thursday night and  a  sprint triathlon on saturday .

So Friday will be an easy day.

Go  Thunderbirds!

Hola Teamies,

I just finished a Run-Bike brick(yep, it was reverse).  My oh my, the new neighborhood is sure hilly...and definitely not rolling hills.

The run was 11 minutes.  I wandered and managed to locate the local beach club. I ran back up to my place, grabbed my helmet and bike and then did 14 minutes of hill riding.  I guess that the workout was short, but it was nice and intense.  I will have to double it when I have more time.  And then I can triple it....and then quadruple it......

I should figure out the beach club hours and then I can make it into a mini tri...the only problem extra bonus is that the bike starts immediately with hills...lots of big hills.  Funny how the water is always at the lowest elevation.

Its surprising how much better i can bike after a swim  than when i start from scratch .

I guess  the HR raises during the swim and the muscles warm up and so the energy levels higher.

Make sure you have your bike in the lowest  gear when you hit those hills .

Added another run today , I ran   the race course from tomorrow night's  XC race but at an easier speed .And in cooler temperature as it was first thing in the morning and the races are at 7pm .

Curious to see if it helps me with a faster time  tomorrow.
