Luckily all is well at my house, but two towns over got hit by a tornado - AND THE WEATHER SERVICE NEVER ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING! Left us in the "watch" state. Crazy. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Christmas Core Challenge ceilidh - 2010-12-01 3:58 PM I am off to a "dribs and drabs" party. That sounds like fun. That is where everyone takes the (still edible) dribs and drabs from your fridge and we make a meal out of them. Sometimes odd but always interesting. See ya tomorrow, Ghoulies |

C'est December!!! Yay! How many days till Maui? 18 I try not to be, but I am infinitely jealous. I try not to rub it in...but I can't help it... This is where I stay... http://www.outrigger.com/hotels-resorts/hawaiian-islands/maui/outrigger-maui-eldorado My aunt is my roomie this year!!! She is my Mom's youngest rebel sister. Haha. No problem, I live vicariously. What a great place. I expect TONS of pictures! Can your parents adopt me? (Except that I am probably older than them). Mom is 52, Dad 53. They didn't have us till they were 30. Apparently they went against the norm back in the day and were married for 10yrs before they had kids? Haha Always knew I could be your parent (and Neals). I'm already a grandmother and I'm your Dad's age. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Christmas Core Challenge Hi all, One of the LBS had a "ladies day" today...I have a feeling they are trying to lose their "intimidating to females" image. Haha. Worked in my favour today...got extra 20% off all retail stuff. Bought myself some new pedals. The ones I had were old, used, old school ones...I decided it was necessary to upgrade and due to the extra % off got myself some Shimano Ultegra ones for 159$. Debated speedplay...but I don't like the hole in the cleat for running on gravelly surfaces to then jump on my bike and clip in...so ya...haha. I'm excited! I also bought myself the Lake Placid Spinverals workout...ohhhh yaaaaa. Successful day at the LBS. |

We could do that one sometime, like after I win the lottery. They also have one on Kauai. kauiai? kauaii? Oh crap, I can't spell today! |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Christmas Core Challenge so I'd love to discuss how much younger/older everyone is than me, but that would require admitting that I am, indeed, aging. *blah* When I am up and about I feel 20. When I slow down, sit down (such as at the computer) I feel like a crotchity 80 year old. And my hip hurts. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Christmas Core Challenge Good evening Ghoulies! I had my doctor appointment this afternoon. I didn't have to pee in a cup, but I did have blood drawn and all sorts of tests will be done on that, including one that has to do with genes mutating. If I'm a mutant I hope I have some cool super power. I also have to have an EKG next week and wear a heart monitor around for a day or so and write down everything I do when I have it on so they can look at my HR during different activities. I hope they got newer ones that aren't as big and bulky as they used to be. I also got lectured for not going in sooner. No running, no biking, no swimming until all of my test results are back. No cardio! I can do yoga. I can strength train. That's it. I think it's safe to say that I won't be running in Carlsbad. Edited by ironannekidd 2010-12-01 6:36 PM |

The holters are a little bit better than they used to be apparently...but most patients don't have the time of their life with it. or the journalling... |

What kind of trouble do you think we can get into while the rest of the Ghoulies are out on the course? I think LOTS. |

Sorry to hear you won't be running. but hopefully the doctors can figure out what's going on! And if you are mutating hopefully it's something cool like being able to turn water into margaritas with the touch of a finger |

You've got living to get on with! Seriously though, I am sorry to hear that you and Kim won't be running. Kinda puts the pressure on to go run faster so I can come see what kinda trouble you 2 will be stirring up. Neal-when are your flights? Hubby is booking mine any day now. (As soon as he figures out there's no one to watch the kids and I should go without him...). I think I'm the only one without a plane ticket! |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Christmas Core Challenge Oh, and one more thing. The last time I wore a holter monitor, I had to input a different code forc each activity. They tucked a little code cheat sheet in with the monitor. "Now I am walking. Hmmm. #3. K. Now I am sitting. #1. now I am going to eat.#9." And so on and so forth. There were codes for just about everything on there. But I didn't have to write anything down! |

The last time I had one was6 or 7 years ago. It was this great big device on a strap I had to carry around with me, it was very cumbersome. I had a card that I had to fill in the times and activity. 6:00 got out of bed. 6:15 got in the shower. 6:45 had breakfast. Stuff like that. I probably didn't fill it out as well as I should have, mostly because it was a pain in my backside. |
