I might have been down, but I am not out.  Up to 7800 now, I will get to my mark if I have to swim daily for a week.

I don't know about everyone else, but the last week of the month will be tough to get in my swims.....SO..I plan to swim like a MADMAN this week and next week to get ahead of schedule.

Let's go crazy the next two weeks, and mop up the competition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a really good point! Probably ought to check what my pool's closure schedule will be over the holidays. I'm pretty sure they are closed at least a couple days in there....

It would be nice to know average yards per swimmer. If those panzies on the other team only have to swim 500 yards a week, it would be nice to clown them.

No doubt Chucky!

I'm going to be off on my yardage this week. Some stuff has come up at work, and I'll be putting in extra hours. I'll make up for it next week though!

CoolHey guys...whoohaaa! How's it going out there? I'm hanging in.  I'm hoping to get some major pool time in during the next 2 weeks.  I pray the pool isn't swamped with swim team members since the community pools are closed. Oh well, guess I will be fighting for lane time at LAF. Good luck to all of you! We can do it!!

Just checkin in....I too had a freakishly busy week at work at the beginning of this week, resulting in little sleep.  But I got past it and hit the pool last night.  Hoping to get more pool time this evening.  If not, I'll be crankin over the weekend.  I kind of like swimming on the weekends right now since I can go in the middle of the day when it's a little less chilly (and not dark) out.

This is gonna be a power swim week for me, so no worries! Actually, it's because I hurt my knee and can't seem to run anymore. Real crimp in my Ironman training... Argh!!

But all good for the Swashbucklers!

Dan (dhyte) had an epic swim weekend battling kids at the Y and everything but the slacker didn't get his numbers in until today. If he keeps those numbers up he should have a very good week. Oh I should have a good week as well.

I'm joining the "power swim week" folks as well.  I missed 2 scheduled swims this past week due to work, but thankfully I go on vacation Thursday afternoon.  I'm looking forward to it since that will allow me to get back on track with training.  I think that's another one of those "You know you're a triathlete if" sayings.

Oh man...the number of actual swim days left this month is getting pretty small.  I figure I probably will be able to swim 5 more times this month, and still need to cram in another 18,517 yards.  I see at least 1 or 2 more LONG swims coming.....

Hey Swashbucklers! How's it going? I hope to wrap my challenge yards up on Thursday! This has really been a great challenge. I'm quite sure that without it I would have spent the entire month of December saying "I gotta get to the pool this week".....

Done! Wished I'd set a higher goal, but I had to be conservative with all the December activities and lingering sickness.
