Life is good!

My "beastly" road rash has healed from my fall 3 weeks ago

I fly to Kona tomorrow for the 70.3 this Saturday and my 1st triathlon of the season

It is only 15 weeks out from Wisconsin

My son and I went onhis longest bike outing of his life yesterday with me

Life is good!

Now that those pesky early season HIM/70.3 races are out of the way, it's time I get serious about IM training. Oh boy.

I am going to attempt to get my first ride on the course this weekend if anyone wants to meet up or have a go.  I am still looking at which day will work better for me and my ridding partner.  Hope everyone is working hard!

I'd love to see you around 8:30. However, if that happens, the first place you'll be placing me is an ambulance, because I've completely raced out of my zone! Thanks for the support!!!

I'm a BAD BAD IMWI BTer...I totally forgot about this thread.

My training is going pretty well.  It scares me that I just realized it's like 13 weeks away....AHHH...where has the time gone...it was just January!!

My first HIM is in the books and it showed some weak points.  It was hot and Hilly, so it helped in case last year weather returns.  I have to work on hill strength and tempo runs.

Not sure if I've mentioned it here or not, but 2 of us are coming up to ride the course over the 4th of July weekend.  Looking like July 2 or 3rd.  AJFreddy is letting us crash!  How awesome is that?

I see that some of you have already ridden the course and figured if we can get a large group, we can roll in numbers!

I'd probably be up for a large group ride that weekend. It sounds like fun. That is very nice of AjFreddy to let you crash at her place. I rode one loop a few weeks ago (just the loop since I live near Verona).

Dana:

Did you click on the ss29.mv4 file? Click on that and depending on your computer it will download the video (about 40M). It should play in Quicktime or Windows Media player. The better way to view is if you have iTunes - Just search for SimplyStu.

If that does not work, let me know and I will burn to a DVD and send it to you!

Hope all is well.

Thanks for posting that Stu. It's really helpful to have some images to go w/ the written descriptions to visual the course. Looking forward to the bike preview- hint, hint

13 weeks from today at 0700 we'll be starting what's shown on the video people. Lot's of work left to do and just enough time to do it(I hope)
