Guess you'll have to settle for saying good night to me. I know it's not the same, but maybe it will help? The dog is asking for her love seat and my eyes are tired, even if my brain isn't. Good luck with the squirrels.

Good night, Mary! Ah, with you, it's never settling.

I shall take an afternoon nap, myself.

Thank you, my dear. You're so kind. May your afternoon nap be as restful as last night. (My, don't we sound so high-brow, especially compared to the raunch earlier. Just goes to show, we can swing from the sublime to the ridiculous at the drop of a hat. Just the way it should be!)

OMG!!!

Got a flight, be back in a few! And it stands for Robert G Hector, BSN...haha

Hope the flight goes well.

I thought "rough BSN" made sense since you have to contend with bouncing around while trying to provide medical care. Or could be some other kind of rough, I don't know. But I guess it's okay if it just stands for your name. Less fun though...

Haha...well, the ride in the helicopter is smoother than on the ambulance. But who am I to interfere with your imagination?

Yanti, where did you work with flight nurses?

Night shifters left alone again...sigh...

Nope. I'm still here. And it's broad daylight.

Was a BLS/ACLS/PALS instructor in SoCal roundabout, oh, 97-2000?

I see...I do that, too. That's part of our gig, we teach BLS/PALS/ACLS to the folks in our hospital as well as surrounding counties.

Miss SoCal at all?

Terribly. It's home and it always will be.

But so is Indonesia and I love living here.

I'm trying to summon my memories about Wilmington, but am failing. I lived in NC (north of Charlotte) for a couple years but tried to travel as much as possible, around the state, area, Eastern seaboard.

Are you from there? or a transplant?

I'm a military brat...born in Camp LeJeune, NC (about an hour from here) and have lived in: VA, MD, HI, TN, NC, Okinawa...then back to NC.

I did the Marine Corps thing for awhile and got broken...that's when I worked on the other side of the rifle. Used the GI Bill and went to nursing school...now I am a civilian flight nurse (helicopter and sometimes ground) and an Air Force flight nurse (on C130's, C17's, KC135's...wherever they need me). It's a good deal, love flying!

That is a marvelous life story, FNG. I will give you a snappy new nickname once someone comes along to take your place. Sorry about the broken but sounds like you put Humpty together quite well again.

Yup. Camp LeJeune. Yup.

I would love to get back into medicine--into lots of things--but am in a bit of a limbo with current circumstances, I choose to be near my aging (eff that, AGED, heh) parents. It's given me other great opportunities, though.

And you're single too.

Well, we got him moved...as far as putting him back together, meh. He'll be okay, but the only true cure for stupid is terminal.

Opportunities are always exciting, with the right attitude and outlook...and there is no substitute for family!

ish. Ha ha ha

Splendid. Termites are eating the seal around the tiles (but not any of my wood--yet), Lisa loves popcorn (she's a Labradog; she likes everything), and I spent the evening in the delectable company of SNURF PIGLETS! O I love them so ....

Ham radio class all day for me. When I get my license I will have to try and hit Indonesia if I can.

What did you do with the FNG? Is he tied up nice and tight for me somewhere?
