I've updated the spreadsheet that with everyone's goals plus Orbea's.

Here's what I have - let me know if any are wrong:

ChicagoMan65 - 12

Gaiaserver - 21!

GTAUSP3 - 12

Jldcarlo - 10

Lil Turtle - 10

OrbeaMan - 11

PanicTour - 10

Willie05 - 12

That's a total of 98 rides for us.

Each Monday (or Sunday night) post in this thread the number of rides you did during the week plus the total time for the week.  For the fun of it, we're also counting the types or rides, so also post the number of rides that are: 1) Flat or Rolling, 2) Mountain or Hill, or 3) Time Trial.

As far as what days make up the week, I'm going with Monday to Sunday to match my logs.  That also lines up with the Tour ending on Sunday, 7/29.  I just realized that means that this first week is a 9 day week!  That doesn't matter so much because the key is the total, not the interim results.

So by next Monday, post all your stats from Saturday, 07/07/07 to Sunday 7/15.

Good luck Euska(l)tel! Cool

Good job, captain Bob/Willie05.

Are we penalized if we (as individuals) do not complete all stages, i.e TT, flats, mts, etc? I live on the gulf coast. Not many actual mountains in my part of the world. But, surprisingly, we do have some good rollers in the area.

Absolutely no penalties.... its about making your workouts (stages) whatever they happen to be!

Nice job PT! Hope you were watchin' the TdF while on the trainer...

<><><><><><><><><><><>

Got my Stage #2 ride in after work...rolling hills with not very much climbing. Had to laugh when I put the course in the Route Manager...it came up with an elevation gain for the 16 mile ride of over 17000 feet. Just the thought of that makes my legs and lungs hurt.

Hope everyone had a great day....Stage #3 tomorrow! Wonder who is going to be left to race after what happened today.

Go E2!

Later,

Jim

I got my second ride in today on a huge freakin hill!  The scary part is that hill is the course for my race this weekend.  Ugh.  Straight up for 5 miles!  I'm sure it would be nothing for an experienced cyclist (got passed by a couple today) but for me it's more than a little intimidating!  Thankfully I've been adding some hill work into my rides in the last month or so, but I'm still a hill newbie.  The good news is it's an out and back course, so I had a blast on the way back!

Lacey-

The other good thing is that the ride won't be a surprise.  Your body has a mental picture of what it takes and I bet it will be a better ride during the race.  If it wasn't for the downhills, I don't think anyone would ever go up.

Nice job on your 2nd ride.

Go E2!

Ride #2 last night. An hour of the trainer, watching the TdF. I scored some sprint points for the team during the breakaway too.

Glad to see E-E orange represented well in yesterday's stage. Good effort by Ruben Perez.

One thing I've noticed on the spreadsheet.  If you do more rides than your goal, that does help the team.  For the total team % Goal Achieved, it simply adds up all the rides and compares that to our 92 committed rides.  So if somebody goes over, that would make up for somebody not hitting their goal.

(Unless Cat changes it after reading this!) Wink

LOL!

I was just looking at the sum of the team - If I go over by 2 rides, and somebody else is under by 2 rides, the total for the team would show 100% Smile

Hope everyone is doing okay!  Finished my 5th ride today....got a pleasant surprise of a request to go biking with my daughters instead of a training ride.  How can I refuse...I couldn't.  We went out for a little over an hour and covered about 7 miles.  Nothing but fun and actually it probably was the best thing for my legs....been feeling a bit heavy the past few days.

Go E2 !

I got number 3 in today.  I think I should've set a bit harder goal for myself!  I just didn't want to go too high though as I wanted to have the option of some extra rest time after my tri sunday.  Anyway....not a good ride at all today.  I think my confidence just sucks right now after my dismal ride of the tri course on moday.  Mentally I just couldn't focus and it felt like a battle the whole time just to get my legs to move at all.

Gaia your ride sounds great!  How come your logs are hidden from us?
