Hold on a sec, I need to figure out what's been going on here. (At least as much as I'll ever figure it out.....) Yay! It's time to chat on BT! LOL Hiya Dee! How are you? |

Dinner tonight - organic uber-lean chopped steak (yeah, it taste better when you call it that instead of hamburger) topped with sauteed mushrooms and a diet Pepsi (because I just haven't drank enough today). Why does it seem like I'm on a different time zone than everyone else? I mean, I know there's folks out there on the other coast (and Sal is in the North Coast LOL), but when I'm eating lunch, y'all are just getting to work; you're eating dinner when I go to bed; and I have no idea what y'all are doing right now when I'm eating dinner! Kristen Dinner tonight - Little Debbies. Time zone - Um, we're in the SAME time zone. Hopefully, when you're eating lunch, I'm not "just arriving at work". (Although maybe that would be nice?) And.... well, no - it's quite possible that when you go to bed, I may be eating dinner..... OK, so maybe physically, I'm in the same time zone as you, but mentally, I'm.... um, somewhere else..... probably. LOL |

You know I realized this morning that with all the talk about desserts, none of us ever mentioned créme bruleé. HOw could we have missed that? With Rum sauce too. Or, you could just have the rum separately.... |

I'm so depressed just reading this thread now. I have given up ever leaving the South. The only way I will escape is if my husband drops dead or divorces me and I hope that doesn't happen any time soon. I'll just have to be extra careful with the blue ray playerHCS5QA - 2007-11-29 4:10 PM spokes - 2007-11-29 4:08 PM Exactly! I'm 46, going to be either a) with kids or b) paying child support for another 15 years, so there's no way I'll be able to afford to buy a house in California... even with the market drop, its still crazy. I know what you mean. I'm thinking of retiring in Texas in the next three years, buy a house and be a slacker. Can you beleive I said retired? I have exactly 3 years and 7 months till my retirement date. I plan to fish at a lake and support my self by selling bait. Do you think i can survive? LOL Im sorry Hector... but there is no way you seem even close to old enough to retire! That's why i love you gals! I'm 40 now, in 3 1/2 years I will have completed 26 years in the Navy. I could have retired 2 1/2 years ago at the 20 year mark but i wasn't ready to hang it up yet. Well, and you can be a double-dipper now too. Get a GS-12 job with a federal agency and collect your retirement at the same time... You are lucky. If I had to do it all over again, I would never have gotten married. I love my children, but having to share them with someone that I'm going to be at war with for the rest of my life isn't worth it, unfortunately LOL No, this is a bigger, longer-term issue. I'm totally burnt out careerwise and I simply don't have any good choices. I hear Sydney has a transport/road etc planning problem.... Alright Spoke! Job situation solved. Sorry forgot about the kids, ok this won't work. Wait you can take the kids with you. Is there an extradition policy there if you get caught. |

I've heard parts of Oregon are cool. If I could move to my dream town... Seward, Alaska. Nice little town on the peninsula, good fishing, kayaking, backpacking, etc. Oh and FRESH seafood. I miss Alaska, but hubby won't move b/c of high cost in airfare to try and see family. I'd just drive it - only 4 days from Anchorage to Denver - but he doesn't care for road trips. What about Idaho? Oregon rains too much, as well as Washington. Idaho is too cold. I don't ski. Its also full of Mormons, just like Utah is. I'm not a Mormon. I *hate* cold weather. I agree - too much rain in Oregon. I like sunshine. Idaho. Do people actually live there? Um. Why? Cold weather.... Winter sports..... Skiing..... Snowboarding.... None of that is appealing. I like my water in the liquid form, and warm. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) VI spokes - 2007-11-29 6:50 PM I won't live in the NE. Too crowded, rude, cold. The South - the good parts are full of conservative Protestant religious fanatics. FL is a mess. ATL is too big. Texas - just too weird. I'm from Iowa but don't want to live in cold weather again, and I lived in the industrial Midwest and didn't like it there either. Arizona is becoming too expensive, NM already is too expensive. There really isn't a place in the US that I really feel a strong desire to live in. I like the NE. I don't like snow and cold weather though. Also, I've become a wimp - I used to put on a wetsuit and get into that cold water. Now, I wonder WHY I did that. And no, I'm not going back to the NE. Brrrr............ FL - has potential. I may go there someday. It's warm and sunny, which meets my requirements. LOL |
