PT Freaks notes – Chapter 2

We continue to fly through the posts, in fact one interested observer from the POG’s

How the heck did you guys get to 26 pages???  I'm a POG BTW....I think we are up to 2 pages

The competition for TOPPAGE promises to be fierce in this challenge, as evidenced in the exchange between Kristin and Philthy

K:  Missed yet again!
P: SH1T!  CURSE YOU LAZY!!
K: Bwahahahahahahahahaha! Take that!

We had a nice little  sing along with Phil taking the lead and posting song snippets, it was sort of an odd mix of karoke and Name this Tune!

And we’re waiting on a call from Master Travis – does keeping up with Phil in posting count as a PT session? – LOL!

Mel (Chartierm22) – spent Saturday night eating bbq pizza and watching Sponge Bob (I’m intentionally leaving out the part about the huge plate of broccoli cuz pizza and broccoli is just wrong! )

Chris (Chrisrunzs26)- is no longer a creepy clown (thank goodness!!) and has gotten off to a great start in the challenge with a run and a bike on the books!

Stacie (Dimplespoo)- we now know the secret behind her call name and that, the shortened version, Poo is reserved for her DH

Magda (Eurydice79) - *hearts* Belgian beer, had a great weekend with lots of activity, she even saw Aiada!

Phil (1stTimeTri)- continues to enjoy his we, ekend with da boyz, they thoroughly enjoyed watching the 3rd Indy movie.  He announced this event on the agenda in an attempt to cover up missed TOPPAGE – hehe!  He found a new avatar, which is quite mesmerizing……………………wait – ok, I’m back – lol!

Jenn (Jenni4) – must be out having lots of fun :-))

Cat (kaqphin) – is headed out to lunch with some gals that are interested in triathlon – how cool is that?!

Beth (lastcall2003)- ordered boring pizza on Saturday night, but the good news is she didn’t have to cook or clean up!  She watched Oh Brother Where Art Thou – remember ‘Do NOT Seek the Treasure’ – LOLOL!

Kristin (LazyMarathoner) – had a dry, boring Saturday night on the eve of her Mary (hmmmm, wonder what that says about the rest of us that were posting???? lol!  Kristin and Rudy appear to be kindred spirits

Every time I drink wine, I drink the whole bottle. I consider it to be one serving
(fwiw, I’m in that club too ).  Kristen’s morning got off to a rough start with a coughing fit and a headache, but she persevered and rocked at the Mary  - set a PR by almost an hour and ran her first sub-4, finishing in 3:58:14.

Kendra (Pipscweek) – Was a wee bit hungover from the Halloween festivites. Sounds like ski conditioning kicked her a$$ though

Rudy (Rudedog55) – got some Saturday T.I.T.S., had wine with dinner and there was something about punctuation???? .  He is not worried about a headache after the wine because he

had a buncha water, i am not exactly small either

Andy (RevBigDog)- oh Andy, where are you?  He got in some very nice workouts and has a great start to the challenge!

Ted (TeddieMao)- went to the Notre Dame game this weekend – did he run or paint this weekend?
Travis (tlnewman)-  showed his wisdom with one simple statement

I stopped trying to watch what I say around you.  Too much work.

Yanti (Triaya)- spent the weekend chillin’ and doing things that are good for the soul

David (Wraith28k)- hellooo!  Come visit us!

Carryover.  This should be a sticky for about 5 posts.

Well, I'm thinking that since wifey hasn't seen us for about 4 days after being buried at work all this time, I should socialize.

Cheers!  And have a great night!!

Travis - I informed the P.O.G's, after you told them about the bonus points, that they were the exception to getting the bonus points for this month's challenge.  HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You are too funny.

Yeah, HTML code will hide on ya, unless you copy/paste into Notepad first, then copy/paste from there to the final destination.

duly noted!

one would think I had learned my lessons about dabbling in html

were you around when I blew up a thread trying to create a team table?

Well it was super casual - we sat outside in the sunshine and i just talked about basic training and how long things would take... what you need etc.

We still have on relay team I need to fill and Ive shot off an email to the organiser trying to wangle a group discount.

But I really just talked about it being fun, walking being ok and not to worry about the super competitive  people.

Was amazed how many people want to do group things - the hard bit is going to be keeping people motivated but apart from that.. we are good!

Thanks Beth - I cant tell you how excited I am about this!

I really dont care about being slow, i more care about everyone being there. Ive told them about everyone staying to cheer each other on and cheering for the last people home so I hope Ive set the fun tone upfront.

A conversation with L#1 - then we sent an email to a few people. Then they suggested more people... talking in hallways etc...

The fact Im overweight and not super fit I think really helps...  because Im a 'normal person' not a super skinny, super fit, scary person if that makes sense?

Because I needed to keep myself in check for this challenge, I went out for a walk tonight, around 7:30 p.m., out in the dark, on the 2-lane, not-much-traveled Hwy here.  Got in my 30 min. with a 2 miler "power" walk.  Feel better now.

Chalk me up a point!

go Phil!

Sounds like the team is on a good start for points then.

Ooh! I earned a point today!

Since this was a double post I figured I'd edit. I'm stretching and it might be the most painful thing I've ever had to do.

Cat, I'm sleeping in my new compression tights for recovery, I'll have to let you know if they help at all, I know you're exploring compression!
