TriAya - 2009-01-06 11:23 AM Yes, I heard it was a good teen flick.

That sounds promising...its been out for awhile so it shouldnt be too busy...otherwise I could stay home and watch a DVD mum sent me for chrissie...would be cheaper

You could do that--you might need to hang on to your ducats after you got those killer Oakleys!

heh especially after a got a couple of work dresses yesterday too!! Oops....

I get paid the end of the week thankfully!!! but at that point I start saving for the new bike...going to require all sorts of self control!

Hey there gals.

I won't be around much this evening...I have a ton to get done.  I am unsure about the evening bike class...it starts in less than 2 hours and I still feel really yucky.  Yucky as in I need to do something about it or it will only get worse.  I really really don't like my digestive system-especially since the giardia incident in '99(and it lingered until 2001).

It may take awhile for my gut to respond and I don't want to be at the Y when it happens.

So, your opinion please.  Should I skip the short bike ride that I am suppose to do today?  I could make it up on Wednesday-one of my off days and my next bike will not be until saturday.  I have a long run Tuesday morning and a long swim Thursday night.

What do you think?

Mel - health first.

If your stomach is something that needs to be addressed asap or you will get sicker then you must take care of that as priority number one...

I would still have your rest day too...consistency is important...but once you miss a workout its gone..unless its a key or breakthrough workout dont try to make it up just let it go...

Or if its something you arent good at...so for me running..you should drop a workout in your strength to make up the weakness...

But not taking your rest and cramming things in is how you get overtrained, run down or sick...

Does that answer your question?

x2. If I were you, I'd go ahead and skip the workout unless your stomach has calmed down by then and you are good to go.

No need to make it up.

thank you for the clarification and the advice.    I will skip this evening's bike workout.  It was the double workout day anyway-I swam this morning.  I have soooo much going on right now that I could definitely use the 2 hours of time that I would be away from home.

Morning Nibbs.

Good news. Found the owner of the doggie this morning. They lived about 3/4 of a mile from where I found him. He had traveled pretty far for one with such short legs. Maybe he's a triathlete doggie in training. LOL

Anyway, I was giving him a walk before work and the owner was putting up signs. She cried happy tears to get her doggie back. So all is good in our world.

Yay for happy endings

Thats the thing with training...its not just the actual workout time but the travel/bag packing/changing/showering time you have to consider when building a plan... a 6 hour training week might actually be a 10 hour committment!

We saw it on Friday. I read the book so I knew what was going on. My husband enjoyed it and he didn't read the book.

That is very true. That is why I spent so much time adjusting the schedule to work for me.

Ok, I've figured out dinner.

I already ate about 8 dates(that was all that I had)

a bowl of blueberries, boysenberries, and raspberries

pears

tons of applesauce

...and maybe later some rice pasta with a vinaigrette.
