I am going to pick up some rubber bands and go back for it on my ride tomorrow if its still there. I decide to head back. 3 miles later: flat! I stop and change the tube. Turns out my new CO2/hand pump hybrid is a POS. I'm going back to my old pump. Got the tire back on, slightly underinflated and rode the last 9 miles home, into the 25mph wind.  Good times!

Time for dinner and a beer or 3.  I'll be back later to catch up

Not fun Neal! I've had one of those rides too though minus the waterbottle...plus rain...

So I'm currently listening to Ace of Base...ya thats right...this is what I do...

Trying to figure out my training regime for here on out...trying to recruit some ppl for company for biking...its slowly working..haha...I have this wierd influence on some of my friends...they do things like sign up for half marathons because I tell them its a good idea...

I'm fairly certain I'm going to do IMLP in 2011....I even have an iron sherpa in tow! Haha...my friend is excited to go (her bf has done 2 IM's and she tells me she has lots of experience and is the optimal choice to bestow iron sherpa status on). haha.

I went biking today...outside...haha...WINDY...ridiculously windy...you know when you have to brace yourself because random gusts will come up and hop your tire...yaaa...oh well...got 20k or so down...not alot...but slowly breaking myself into permanent aero position. I'm pretty used to being down now. Now just need to up the miles and will be good to go!

 I wanted to do 10 50's after the 100's but my left leg was locked up tight. I started having lots of cramping in my toes, foot, and calf about halfway through the 100's. I drank a bottle of water on the way to the pool, I drink water all day long, and I try not to push off of the walls.

I am also on the lookout for a new nose clip. I think TYR makes something that looks like a U. I haven't been to anyplace that carries them and I hate to pay more for shipping than it costs for the nose clip. Need a little Ghoulie help here.

1 month ish...My last exam is on May 7, then I leave for Victoria prob on the 10-11. SO I'll prob start my research around that time too...havent figured all the pragmatic details yet...talking to my supervisor next week to hash everything out.

Um... yeah... I'm not real big on the fruits and veggies. Maybe I'll try a Gu or sports drink next time instead of just water. I was pushing the 100's, but even that isn't very fast, yet.

Noted... I've been getting foot cramps every now and then too in the pool. It seems to be getting better, but now I think I will stock up on bananas as well.

I generally take electrolytes in for supra 45min or high intensity workouts...I use GU sports drink...I like the taste...not too sweet/sour. I haven`t had any cramping issues for awhile.

Over the winter the college opened a multi-million dollar fitness facility. I decided to try their pool tonight, since in my experience the Y is pretty crowded later in the evenings.

IT WAS WONDERFUL! Nice big new locker room ALL TO MYSELF!

New 8 lane 25 yard lap pool ALL TO MYSELF!

The pool was nice. I wish I could have shared it will all of you. I know I wouldn't have been alone then, but I know you guys wouldn't have ruined the mojo. I think I'll be going there a lot more.

 Gu Brew! That's what I use. I think it tastes MUCH better than Gatorade! I get it in the individual pouches. I even made some for the kids this winter when they were sick, they liked it too.

Ya it should be fine. Research tends to depend on what you are doing for time commitment...so some days will be longer than others if I am doing surgeries (I`m using rats for my project), but overall it shouldn't be too bad...I imagine generally 9-4ish plus or minus some.

My supervisors both know about me and tri...my contract even states "we understand you would like some time off at the beginning of August to do the triathlon"...haha..."the triathlon=calgary 70.3"...My supervisor here in Edmonton asked me if I was trying to kill myself. haha. He's a funny man. And I'm going to the tri capital of Canada all summer...I will force it in!!!

New 8 lane 25 yard lap pool ALL TO MYSELF!

The pool was nice. I wish I could have shared it will all of you. I know I wouldn't have been alone then, but I know you guys wouldn't have ruined the mojo. I think I'll be going there a lot more. 


Nice. What time are the Ghoulies swimming tomorrow? Oh, and Melindy will have her own workout.  Perhaps it should be her rest day and she can coach the rest of us.
