The not so good news... ummm it didnt feel great... I might have to take up that offer to reduce my goal... I should have easily hit 2-3k but instead I had to fight my way through 1.5... a bit disappointing after last month.... But I SWAM! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Flying Fish Nette213 - 2008-01-07 8:56 AM 1350 yds on the books for today. I managed to drag myself out for an am swim at the Y. It was nice. Only one other person in the pool and they finished well before I did. I plan to go back on Wednesday am, though, I might go again tomorrow, depends on how I feel.
Another great swim! Go team. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Flying Fish I was planning on swimming tonight. Have my bag in the car and all. Got to work and was reminded that I have a Relay committee meeting at 4:30. Good news is, I can swim tomorrow and Thursday and still be on track. If I'm really lucky maybe I can squeeze one in on Saturday. |

TinkerBeth 23096 Liverpool, New York | Subject: RE: Flying Fish January Challenge – week 1 Thanks to everyone who is participating – Dee and I are having a great time with the challenge – I loved being the official greeter and well – Dee loves spreadsheets, so it’s a perfect match – LOL We have nine teams and I’d have to say they’ve been quite creative in coming up with team names! Way better than what Dee and I would have come up with that’s for sure!!! There have been some obstacles this first week for many of the teams, lots of illness, colds coughs, and the like. Some monster storms affecting our friends in Cali – Looks like everyone is making the best of it and still getting the workouts in! WTG! Team Recaps (in no particular order – and the order could change from week to week) Funky-Chrono-Monkeys of the Frozen Cinder Tundra – Captain Bluejack Team T.I.T.S – Captain Max (aka keeper of the T.I.T.S) Wet and Wild – Captain Jeni Side note – has anyone else noticed the high view to post count ratio for Teams T.I.T.S and Wet and Wild? What do you suppose people are looking for? LOL! Team Ride Lots – Captain Scott Scrambled Legs – Captain1for1 Loving Every Mile – L.E.M. - Captain Lisa Flying Fish – Captain Kendra Twisted Blisters – Captain Beth Who’s your Marmadaddy? – Captain Sal |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: Flying Fish D001 - 2008-01-06 8:35 PM kns57 - 2008-01-06 9:27 PM Eh, Swim Team B was the swimming version of Team Chatty. Basically, it started with you, me and Phil. And grew from there. LOL D001 - 2008-01-06 8:25 PM So what happened to Swim Team B? But then Team Chatty all wanted to run, didn't they? kaqphin - 2008-01-06 8:35 PM Yep, when I set up the teams, "Team C" (aka Twisted Blisters) was this month's "Team Chatty." Hector, Beth, Lyssa, Kristen, and a few others. D001 - 2008-01-07 12:00 PM kaqphin - 2008-01-06 7:56 PM The rest of my team IS helping with our post count! Oh, you meant BETH and HER team. Heh. Actually, they're very chatty. For some reason, Kristen, Hector and Lyssa haven't been around much though. Once those three return, well, their post count should increase dramatically. lastcall2003 - 2008-01-07 11:41 AM kaqphin - 2008-01-06 6:38 PM D001 - 2008-01-07 11:33 AM Heh, Beth is taking pictures that were posted on our thread, and reposting them in the Blisters thread. I think she's not happy that we're ahead in the post count totals! LOL Well I guess imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery... it's also the quickest way I could think of to boost our post count without talking to myself - LOL! dang, what am I doing over here again! Its an addiction.... shouldnt the rest of your team be helping with your post count? Oh yes I mean Beth... those 3 are on the SAME team? Yeah its gonna explode some time soon! What a great team, eh?! |

Iron Donkey 38643 , Wisconsin | Subject: RE: Flying Fish Manatee Express - 2008-01-06 8:57 PM Did anybody watch American Gladiators tonite? When they fall now they land in the water and they also have a portion where you swim under fire. Not real relevant but I haven't helped alot on the post count. k Yep, saw it last night. That blonde girl that was a former marine took a wallop on the forehead when she hit that metal bar before the fire in the swim. YEEEOOWWWTCH! She can kick some booty! |
