so i finally got my tires dealt with. my dad has a compressor, so i took it over there (turns out that his compressor and my tires weren't compatible, but i sucked it up, and used my frame pump, and got them up to 100psi that is without a doubt as FULL as i can get them, but i'll have dh see if he can get them any higher) yesterday i rode it just down the street and back (it was freaking POURING down rain, but i couldn't resist LOL) it felt AWESOME!!!! it is going to take a while for me to get the whole gear thing down, it's really confusing to me for some reason, it's like i have an understanding of it in my head, but as a practical application, i got nothing LMAO!!

anyway, as soon as dh gets back from his power walk i'm taking it our for a good long ride.

yay tracy on getting in the 12's!!! that is SUPER RAD!!! i started out about a year ago in a 14 and i perfectly remember my first pair of 12's! (and 10's and 8's and so on ) there's absolutely something magic about running as far as getting in to smaller pants!! anyway, congratulations!!
my teeny little word of advise though, don't buy any pants in your new size that you completley LOVE, because you won't wear them for long before you'll be getting the next size down, and it's a heartbreaker to chuck pants that you love and haven't even had for very long.

BTW--you gonna be around much today? i was going to call you 1130-ish, my time.

Sorry, gf...I was out making money at 11:30'ish....

Don't worry - I'm not buying any new pants that I love...I'm just getting them from freecycle and then freecycling the old ones back again until I get to my ultimate size/weight!

oh baby!!
so i had to take it to olympia to a bike shop, because during shipping the derailur hanger got bent, hence my gear issues, BUT after a 100 mile round trip i got it going. (then i had to come home and feed my family dinner )
so then i just took it on a 2.1 mile sprint. oh baby oh baby oh baby!!
dh paced me with the car, and said i averaged about 25 MPH. i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!
although, i did get out there and realize that i SHOULD have brought the camera, but yet again, i forgot it. seems to be a reoccuring problem with me lately! LOL

BUT even if DH is working overtime tomorrow, i'll at least go out and snap a couple pics of it. now it just needs a name. i was going to give it a boy name, but riding it, gotta say. it had kind of a feminine feel. so i think she needs a girl name.

tomorrow--pics

oh yeah. i also swam today. like a maniac. you know, i really think i've figured out both my swimming problem, AND my bike problem. i need to RELAX!! i think because they are my weaker sports, i TRY really hard, and i'm so tense you know. so after another water panic attack (it was really REALLY cold again) i stayed closer to shore, and i tried to take it easy and relax. not try so hard. and i really felt like i was making more progress that way. and faster to boot. go figure. so for me, maybe that's key. i gotta just relax relax relax

I did my last run of the month today. It has been a great running month! My original goal was to run 11 hours, and I actually made it running 12 hours! I guess those two weeks where I ran 4 times in a row each week helped

I will get my last run for the month this evening.  It will be a light run, since I don't want to burn out for my PFT on Sat.  Oh what fun.

Last night Laura and I went out to a resturante in Denver for our 3rd anniverssary.  It was called the Cork House.  It was reasonably priced, had an awesome wine list, and really good food.  If any of you are ever in the Denver area I highly reccomend going to it.

Last run of the month, 3.06mi in 22min 4secs.  I am extremly happy with that time.  Holy crap 7:15/mi, I didn't expect to see that at this altitude for another month or longer.  By this rate I should be pushing sub sevens by Sept (at least for the 3 mile distance).

Thanks.

By the way I am upset about scrabbulous.  However Scrabble Beta is working now.  It isn't as user friendly, but has the same outcome.
